A solid 5? Who was our solid 5 last year?

No one plays with a “5” anymore.

We were a solid 5 away from beating Baylor last year, then who knows from there.

That happens in the portal from players that were on different teams. Someone wants this but the other wants that.

Yeah, I assume half the problem will always be, why did this guy enter the portal? Was he a detriment to the team through personality.

Muss didn't get a player to replace Justin Smith's production.

Teams can just sit in a 2-3 zone and there's not a fricking thing we can do about it without a strong presence inside.

Maybe Muss thinks he can out shoot any opponent from three point land. Idk.

Maybe Wade or Johnson will emerge into that roll. Williams to this point in the season isn't getting it done.

I think the real problem is no one from last year’s roster got better. If anything they are worse.

I think the issues are

Williams is gimped up most of the time and will never replace Smith.

Tates minutes to Notae was a massive drop.

Replacing Moody for Lykes was atrocious.

Devo started out in a slump but is getting better.

I'll say this 100 times but until Lykes and Notae have to split minutes and the most productive one gets the most for each game nothing is going to change. Force them to be smarter with the ball and more productive.

The Ladybacks suck just as bad.

Another loss today, to Creighton. And trailed by double digits most of the game.

This despite Daniels dropping 34.

Women's team doesn't suck.

They are inexperienced and have 3 injured players plus one in Davis left for Ole Miss in the portal.

Super short handed without Barnum, Ellis and Ramirez available.

Looking at the boxscore it appears Mike didn't know Creighton could shoot behind the 3pt line. Both of our coaches struggle in this respect.

They're pretty terrible. Ramirez has regressed worse than Notae in similar fashion.

Going to be a long year for them in the SEC.

Mike is a pretty bad GameDay coach unfortunately. Had a bunch of Wash fans tell me this last year too when they were laughing at us for losing first round to Wright State.

I'm very concerned.

Neighbors kinda reminds me of Cunzo. Incredible recruiter but a bad coach.

Pretty much, only Neighbors hit a once in a lifetime all time great that made his career in Kelsey Plum.

Williams isn't the scorer that Smith was and not as aggressive rebounder. Tate was pivotal in the NCAA tournament with tough rebounding and shots in the paint. Lykes is athletic for his size but his lack of size is a detriment. He is better off the bench.

Williams doesn’t have the build, the little bulk- aka them sexy muscles- that Smith did. That said, I think Williams works his butt off during the games but you can only do what you can do.
