I am ready for the Lykes Experience to end

I remember when Desi and Twiggy we're getting major minutes early in the year.

They disappeared halfway through conference play because they sucked.

Muss will figure the pretenders out soon enough.

"We had really good practices, great practices actually Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. Today not so good," said Musselman. "Monday was hard, and the feedback that we got from the players was that they loved it. Tuesday was hard, the feedback that we got was the players loved it. We changed up what we do. We went a lot of 5-on-5 stuff. From an energy and effort standpoint, today was not nearly up to what it was the first three days of the week. The first three days were phenomenal.

"From a coaching perspective, we were really pleased with that. We worked on our own self Monday and Tuesday. Started a little bit of Hofstra on Wednesday and certainly today all Hofstra. We did a lot of things. We've added some offensive wrinkles. We'll continue to do some defensive stuff that maybe we want to slightly tinker with. We know some of the areas we have holes in that we want to try and continue to get better at as well."

One loss does not define a season, but it does represent the first true adversity this team has faced. The opportunity for leaders to emerge has been amplified. It comes as no surprise to hear Jaylin Williams has been one of the strongest voices, and Musselman mentioned a pair of newcomers who have stepped up this week, as well.

"In college basketball, unless you're Bobby Knight's team in the 70s that went undefeated, you're going to lose some games," said Musselman. "It's just kind of the nature of how this goes. Jaylin has been phenomenal from a leadership standpoint.

"Stanley Umude and Chris Lykes seem to be, especially this week. It's the first week I've seen them really kind of step up vocally from a leadership standpoint in a positive manner. Up until those first eight or nine games, I think they were still trying to feel some stuff out. I kind of felt their presence a little bit more from a leadership standpoint, which is really good. I think those three guys led us this week in a positive manner."

This team will be lucky to finish in the top half of the SEC.

Looks like he has learned Notae and Vanover shouldn’t be starting.

Muss needs to play Jackson and Robinson more. We don't have anyone that can shoot, got out rebounded 39-33 and had 15 turnovers.

He's also not the solution. I do agree he isn't the problem though. He's a decent and unique role player.

he was never going to replace the leadership of smith or Tate.

I don't know what his plan was from a leadership replacement perspective. I know he does all kinds of bonding and team work. He also said the intensity died after two days of hard practice this week.

I didn't watch or see the game but essentially their strength was our weakness. Bama gonna wreck our shite like run us off the court if they don't come in completely ice cold.

This is not a very good team right now. This team right now, may not go .500 in SEC play. This team at this time, isn’t even NIT worthy.

Jaxson Robinson needs more minutes now. He is a knockdown shooter and actually has length on defense. Lykes and Notae are repetitive players, but Notae isn't a defensive liability.

This is why the portal shouldn't be used every year. Because sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.

We moved the ball way better today when Jaxson and KK Robinson were in today. I hope they get more minutes Tuesday. SEC play could be rough.

Only thing worse then the game was the concession stands…40 damn minutes to get food and a couple beers. Missed all of halftime and 12 min left of second half which I guess didn’t miss much. Fans waited to bring down the roof but team couldn’t turn the corner and beat freaking Hofstra.

Muss may kill a guy this year. Said the last two games is the worst effort he’s seen in his career.

I’m really hoping next week he just says frick it and puts JD and Lykes on the bench the whole game and plays guys who want a shot.

He needs to do something about the scoring droughts and allowing wide open threes.

Right now if a team were to play zone, they pretty much shut down Arkansas offense.

Seems like every game this year some guy has gone off for a career high in points.
