If the top choices say no, including musselman, then I'd take a chance on grant mccasland before Alford and some of the other lower tier candidates

The Mike firing was the first time they weren’t scooped by some national person so might feel they got their groove back lol.

The first part defiantly comes off as a rumor. I haven't see the other boards mentioning the plane on the way to pick someone up. I saw some mentions of Nevada media reporting Musselman's negotiating with Arkansas but can't find anything.

The worst part of all these coaching searches is the timing. Everybody wants an answer yesterday, meanwhile basketball isn’t even over yet (including NBA which is a pipe dream). Petrino falling into our laps before the season ended was a fluke.
I don’t mind waiting if the end result is worth it. I have the believe it’s Sampson worst case.
Likely after the dust settles it becomes evident that HY and KS benefitted from their friendship and this was a smokescreen, which is overused term. At least I hope that’s how it ends up.

Do you guys mind if I tear apart Trey's current "rumor" real quick...for shits and giggles of course...
What he is saying here is that, he has only reported rumors so far regarding Sampson as well. Go back and look at what he is said all along.
He is as sure as this being correct as he is sure that it is Sampson.
In no damn world is our plane going to sit on any runway for that long waiting on a coach. In no damn world is our plane going to bring a coach in the middle of the night and it also be kept from the public until tomorrow.
There is no point to say anything, other than this...He simply verified to God and everyone that everything he has put out so far on the coaching search has been nothing but rumors.

I mean our search criteria appears to be a young up and coming proven winner who is a sure thing to win us a championship. so basically were never gonna be happy.
