This is what I was wondering. Lateral skill rating.

Thanks for the info guys, being out of state, I don't get much and honestly, life has been better not following these guys to a granular level. Just like seeing who we're on/get, much easier not worrying about what you don't know. At least for me.

Def. get not having expectations of another Hunter but just was referring to his ceiling and potential etc. Sounds like he'll be another great one if everything works out.

He was a pipe dream from the beginning. Not really sure why he was ever mentioned.

Originally from Maryland going to juco in Pennsylvania. James Franklin doesn’t miss on many of those he wants in that area.

How many lineman do you feel like we need out of this class?

Enough jucos to field a 2 deep on the roster with enough high school seniors to field a 2 deep in 2020.

Oline was, had been, and will continue to be the top priority according to the roster even if it continues to be the lowest priority shown by the staff.

The class could be a top 20 class according to the rankings while being a bottom 20 class in reality if this isn't addressed. Chad is going to be in for an eye opening experience if he thinks an acc level line full of available 2-3* players will cut it every week in the sec.

He's going to have a hard time convincing me the need for olinemen came as a surprise after supposedly watching the film of who's on campus and coaching them through spring and fall camp.

While we need OL in the worst way, this is silly...borderline trolling. Morris' system involves getting the ball out quickly and spreading the defense out so our success isn't going to hinge as heavily on OL play as Bert's system.

Obviously, we have to have functional SEC offensive linemen so I am concerned with OL recruiting, but it doesn't automatically make everybody we signed some sort of 2*. A competent coach can scheme around some of the issues instead of lining up and running right at a shite OL.

At the very least, we end up having more playing time to pitch to our 2020 recruits and grad transfers.

The fact that OL recruiting hasn't been great just shows how great everything else has been. Hopefully, we'll open some eyes as the season progresses.

Wait and see.

And its not like the current OL commits don't have any FBS offers. They just don't have the top shelf offers like the DL and skill guys do.

I can't remember if Melvin McBride made it, but he's probably the best HS o-lineman we have a shot with currently assuming no eventual Wilkins flip.

Ol is a concern, but...
at this point, it looks a lot like Petrino's first class in 2008. heavy at skill positions and DB,DL which ended up with 4 lower end OL. This was after Nutt left him with 2-3 decent starters but a handful of recent weaker OL classes.

by 2010(one of our best teams in recent memory), his starting line was made up of 1 high 3 star(Alvin Bailey), 1 mid-level 3 star(Travis Swanson), 2 low 3 stars(Demarcus Love and Wade Grayson) and a 2 star(Ray Dominguez)

It's early, but right now we have 2 mid-level 3 star OL recruits committed. Landing Mcbride or another high level 3 star or flipping a 4 star OL would put us well ahead of any class we've had in several years, at least on paper

Methinks he's referring to this guy. 2020 recruit that we probably have a pretty decent shot with.

Not to be too much of a pessimist but what makes you think we have a good shot at pulling him away from Texas or ou.

He’s visited Fayetteville twice (in February and July), on the first visit he was committed to OU and has since decommitted. A chance.
