Brodie played on some of the worse teams talent wise that Alabama had. Hurts plays on some the very best teams with talent. #2 is a wildcat QB that plays every snap. He is maxed out at what he does well.

I want Jalen Hurts to transfer so bad. Every day our fan base looks dumber. Now some are saying Jalen is better than actual QBs who can throw a football. Jesus Christ end this nightmare.

With the least accurate QB Bama's had in over 15 years? Jesus Christ, we have some stupid fricking fans.

Brodie wasn't the least accurate. I had an agent tell me once if the NFL was 7x7 that Brodie would be a hall of famer just based on arm talent, but the pass rush and hits made him very average at best. Thank Chris Capps and others and the abuse he took due to their poor protection.

Not in a million years. He only hit short passes, but threw it so hard that the receivers often couldn't catch them.

Just had flash backs to Brodie throwing swing passes and screens so hard it was as if he were trying to knock Ray Hudson down, rather than complete the pass

Yeah, those were gut wrenching, but at least the receivers had about a 50% chance of catching the short fastballs. The deep passes were SO frustrating. He had so little arc on the ball, there was never a chance for a receiver to run under most of them. It was like he was trying to throw it out of the stadium every time he threw a 15 yd or deeper pass. Just a laser over the receiver's head. He was blessed was amazing arm strength, but zero touch.

This thread has depressed me. Everyone is arguing about who they believe is the worst, but all I get out of it is how bad our QB play has been over the past 25 years. JPW, McElroy and Hurts are average at best and before Saban it was awful

It sucks, doesn't it? I'm thrilled with the way things have turned out recently. Imagine where we could have been some of those dark years with a legit NFL qb taking snaps, though. They might not have been nearly so dark. Auburn won the NC with a mediocre team and a great QB.

I honestly think we, as fans, hype the players at that position up far too much. We get a 4 or 5 star, and assume he's going to be Tom Brady. The thing is, though, we haven't had a player at that position who was capable of being a quality starter at the next level since 1967.

I really miss Kiffin. He made average look all-world. Coker was a benchwarmer before Kiffin got him. Sims was a running back. Hurts was a 17 year old kid. I know a lot of our fans don't like Kiffin for some reason, but, damn, he is a straight up genius working with quarterbacks.

Are you sure you watch Alabama football?

You mean handing off to Kenneth Darby, UA's #4 all time leading rusher. And passing to DJ Hall, UA's #3 all time leading receiver and Keith Brown #9 all time? Because that's who he played with.

Wow, you’re serious aren’t you?

I think AJ McCarron has a great chance to be a quality starter in the NFL.

Yes, you are. Some of Alabama's all time statistical leaders are on that list.

It's amazing how clueless some of our fans are. It's okay, though, White Jesus Croyle will be there to throw you a life preserver, but he'll overthrow it by 10 yards.

Good luck with that.

I still have high hopes for AJ, but he's thrown 14 passes in the last two seasons. Now he's going to Buffalo, and his prospects there aren't great.

Yeah he has a pretty mediocre receiving core to work with too. McCoy is great RB but he’s getting up there in age. Richie Incognito retired so the OL is probably going to be worse.

My comment was toward JPW. I replied to something you said about him, not Croyle.

I grew up idolizing Darby as a kid, but he’s not even close to being one of our top 5 backs of the last 20 years, much less all time. Congrats to him averaging 830 yards a year though.

Keith Brown never had a 50 catch or 700 yard season on teams that threw the ball A LOT. Ardarius Stewart had 2 seasons better than anything Brown did, and Marquis Maze has the exact same career numbers. Hall and Brown wouldn’t play on special teams for 2017 Alabama.

We had a Jalen Hurts on these teams...his name was Jimmy Johns.

I don't know why you hate those guys, but Croyle had TWO of Bama's top 9 receivers ALL TIME to throw to, and still got less than a 60% completion rate. No other quarterback in Alabama history has ever had a chance to throw to more than one of the top 10.

Croyle was just a bad quarterback. I'm honestly starting to think this is a race thing, because Croyle's stats are absolutely pathetic compared to anyone, yet you and a couple of others are trying to insist that not only is he better than Hurts, but as another poster said, he's the best passer to ever play at Alabama. That's absolutely ridiculous. He's statistically one of the worst.

Now I know you're a racist troll. Johns was a crack dealer and a loser who wasn't really ever a quarterback. Hurts is all class and took two teams to NCGs, but you want to compare them because they're black. This is where I get really disgusted with the backwater segment of our fanbase.

Ridley, Howard, and Stewart are all top 10 in receptions and all 3 are top 11 in yards, meaning 2 are for sure top 10 there.

Dude, those receivers are ranked that high because of Brodie. Also, as a running team forever prior to that it wasn't saying a lot. It is apparent that you are either dumb (probably) or think from a black man's perspective that Hurts rea)y was better than he was (probably).

Wow. You spin a topic about our current players, and the fact that Hurts just isn't as good as Tua and perhaps not Jones, and you try to spin it away to players that never even played for Saban, and in a different SEC entirely. Then you and you alone in this thread makes it about skin color in spite of the fact that Tua has a darker complexion than Hurts. Nobody but you must even care

When people say they want hurts gone it makes u wonder especially when he's a class kid and is everything a leader should be. Race might be a part of it because of that a-hole that called him the n word on Facebook after the Auburn game, kid doesn't deserve that and neither would any other player. Then u had the segment that always made comments about his hair.. I mean grow up . Thankfully it's only a small segment of the fanbase but im not gonna act like it isn't there. Btw Aj is still the best QB we ve had and his resume speaks for itself , that's why I always have cautious optimism when we get a new hyped QB.

What comments about his hair? Do you just make shite up? Let's see those links. You simian buddy and now you are the only ones with racist remarks and I notice you totally ignore the fact that Tua is darker than Hurts. Is some pathetic shite to bring race into a discussion there has been none whatsoever.
