i'm a no on white helmets. i do wish they'd go back to actual crimson color tho. granted my memory isnt what it used to be. but i recall nike admitting the color is closer to cardinal than crimson. you can see the difference when looking at old games.

We did wear Crimson helmets with Crimson jerseys that year as well. Don't remember if we wore Crimson helmets with the road unis that year or not.

I hate alternate uniforms and gimmicks more than almost anyone. I'd like to see the white helmets once every few years because of tradition.

Im down for them. Recruits these days play into the uniform looks and a throwback every now and again may help us some. It certainly wont hurt

7-1 in games they wore them in the 80's. Not sure of exact record overall, but one significant game they wore them was the season opener against USC in 1971 when they unveiled the wishbone.

Gimmick unis are usually a money grab. Changing helmet colors doesn't really lend to fans buying new merch. Bryant did it because the helmets looked similar to the opponent. Not sure what the motivation would be if we changed helmets now.

if bama is gonna chase this mess, just go full monty and paint the field red and wear all red uniforms.
