Oddly enough, to me, his deep passing game was bad. He did throw some that could easily go the other way...some into double/triple coverage BUT his short and intermediate throws looked better ( except for that Bond so wide open he could have used walked in... But I'll chalk that up to being so wide open it blew everyone's mind) a slant pass? And on the money? There's work still but each week is better...and as long as it's better than UK... Then Bama will go to ATL

Most complete game by far though

LSU was taking away the deep pass. That's why you saw double and triple coverage.

I liked seeing that Notre Dame box formation that looked almost like the victory formation

It was the tush push formation that Philadelphia uses. Or a take on it. We ran it the first time against Arkansas? But they have clearly expanded it. Tough to defend that in short yardage to begin with. But adding those dynamics to it makes it downright impossible.

It’s November, they’ve cracked the can open on that part of the playbook.

Designed Qb runs for the most part. Although he did scramble away from pressure and take off a few times. The last TD was one of those times I believe when he scrambled left, faked a throw in the flats, and sprinted in the end zone from around 20 yards out
Almost an RPO offense. I've wondered all season why they haven't tried that type of offensive approach.

Snopes you are correct. he stepped up in the pocket which made pass protection by the two tackles much easier. We ran the triple option a few times but most of his runs up the middle were not designed runs. He just didnt see a receiver so he looked for a lane and took off. We couldnt stop that and lsu couldnt either.

Think about UT and TAMU for a minute. What is their strength? D-Line. What is LSU's? Offense. I think there is a degree of holding your aces until the last - when your QB is good enough to exploit the other two. Just me

I know it is time for that stupid caption to come down. You lost this year. We could put up many captions of Brian
Kelley losing to Coach Saban over many years.

But still threw into that coverage.

They didn't intercept so no harm other than loss of a down but was about the only concern on nearly flawless night... Just a little bit more recognizing and taking what's available and not forcing it

The two passes he hit to Jase and Jam for huge gains were a super positive indicator going forward.

And the quick throw to Bonds for a big 1st down on that last drive in the 4th was a flash of Tua to HR.

this is true, but he didn't have to be breaking 30 yards for that to be a nightmare to defend. Let me ask you, is it better for milroe to take off if there is nothing open and get 4-10 yards on the regular, or stand back there and get sacked for a loss of 8 every time? Everybody has to plan for this now, gonna make our lives easier on offense

Fine I’ll take the more positive interpretation. Twist my arm

Very well could’ve been giving small parts of the playbook each week, so all of the guys could execute the plays at a winning level. Not too much too fast and causing some confusion. Also, limit the amount of unnecessary hits on Milroe for the long season. More called runs and climbing up in the pocket instead of immediately bailing out left or right opened more lanes for him.

Gameplan. We knew we had to score a lot of points this game and putting the ball in the air is more of a risk when you can just run it for 10-15 yards a pop. Milroe on several 3rd and longs just took off and easily got it every time. They couldn't stop it so we did what worked.

Milroe still needs to use his legs more in the future but I don't think we'll see this type of game plan again tbh.

Everything I think has been stated by someone, except I think Texas beat us because they had a seasoned team and we were behind the curve a bit at the time. Most people give Cam Newton the credit for Auburn winning the championship in 2010, but when he showed up they had a good experienced team. Sometimes the make up of the entire team, both offense and defense, is under estimated. Our 1992 team was a perfect example of this. I thought Miami would blow us out. My brother, may his soul rest in peace, said to me before the game "If our quarterback has a decent game we will win." I have never seen a team that supported each other better than the 1992 Crimson Tide.

I’d like to think it was me screaming at the television like a semi functioning lunatic. Realistically it had to be the common sense realization that trying to turn as kid who runs like the wind into a pocket passer is peak crazy.
