I am not a betting man so I dont fully understand the spread and how it moves.
I see the line has UM favored by 2 and has been for most of this week. I've read over the past few days that big money is being bet on Bama to cover.

Why hasn't the line moved?

Lines come from a huge algorithm that runs all sorts of analytics

Analytics have been in love with the B10 all year, thus Vegas is on Michigan

College Football Nerds are wondering about this too...

We picked Bama to beat Michigan, but if there's one thing that has me really second guessing that pick it's this Vegas line.

Vegas is tremendously exposed if Bama wins, and they're not hedging it at all.

I feel like Vegas knows something I don't. Which isn't uncommon

Milroe has not been consistent. That’s why. But, the team wanted him as quarterback.

Well I’d say the team has been right…

No, he's by far the best QB on the roster and that's been evident all season to anyone with a functioning half a brain.

Well, there has to be a logical explanation as to why Michigan is the betting favorite. Their team has been more consistent. Milroe has shown moments of inconsistency. Hopefully that doesn’t happen today.

Most of the computer algorithms that set these lines have Michigan favored around 10.

The line being only 2 sort of tells the story. They are hedging their bets

Not really a betting man but it is bizarre after watching Bama dismantle [game, if not points] the dawgs recently.

I've always heard, the sports line wants as close to an even parity of total waging on both sides, so that could explain what you are seeing, massive betting on Bama.

SP+ has it Michigan 29-20

BTW it also has Texas 33-27

CFB Nerds model has it Michigan 28-17

Their video explains it well, why the models don't trust Alabama.

Appreciate the info!

As if I needed another reason to melt before the game started

Alot of it is basically Milroe leads in negative plays and inversely explosive plays. Computer algorithms reward consistency. He is the opposite

Bama has the lowest floor and the highest ceiling.

Nobody can handle their AGame, but what are the odds Bama plays their AGame ? Not good. Its only happened like 2.5 times this year.

Meanwhile michigan probably has highest floor and lowest ceiling.

Something people never talk about:

Milroe fumbled the ball on the last play to kill the clock vs uga. He recovered his own fumble, but that ball could have bounced different and Georgia only needed a fg. Could have lost that game.

Jalen is a very likeable guy, and easy to pull for, but anyone that says theyre not worried about sacks and turnovers has their head in the sand.

We are gonna ride or die on Milroe and his ability to protect the ball and run instead of taking sacks. Looks like the sharks dont believe he can do it.

I know he can, but ill be holding my breath every time he drops back so this is really an opportunity for Milroe to LANK

Their model said that but they also both said they thought the model was wrong and both nerds picked Bama, one of them by a lot. It looks like computers favor Michigan and most humans are picking Bama.

Hopefully it’s not the referee crew…
This team has played thru a lot of adversity this season.
Bama just needs to play tough, through anything & everything!
We play mistake free, and we get the W.

Well the head official is a Michigan native and Michigan fan (according to Twitter) but the crew is from the Big 12
