I think he’s a first year starter with a sketchy OL. Grubb also gets really squirrelly with his play calling these days. Everyone has tape on him now and they know we struggle to run and refuse to get the ball out quickly against pressure.

I believe he’s taking some big hits and he doesn’t trust the OL sometimes. He’s not comfortable and he isn’t getting much help from his RBs either. You don’t see them make too many “big” plays. They’re the least dynamic I’ve seen in about 20yrs.

below average o-line which results in poor pass protection and no running game.

Indeed he does have a lower back injury.

Against the best D-lines in CFB. Georgia will actually be one of the least talented D-lines Bama has seen lately and they are very good.

I keep bringing it up and all the negative nancies keep ignoring it. Playing against great defenses is HARD. Ty threw for 3 TDs last night. 2 of them as he was about to get pummeled

IMO the offense isn't designed or structured for balance. Balanced offense is a QBs best friend.

Because he's not. No one is calling designed QB runs with a QB who is injured enough to effect his passing

Do you think he has an electrical stimulator hooked up to his back between offensive series for the hell of it?

Dude was under pressure all night man. And when he got hit, he was hit hard and slammed to the ground. Even on the TD that he ran and was called back, he was lit the Funk up. He’s a tough kid and is doing enough for us.

Auburn led 10-0 against Georgia and was going In for a 17-0 lead until they fumbled* at the one. They did the same thing against them.

They are a great defense and sometimes you just have to win.

He’s also throwing to basically Horton only. No williams. No Quevas. Even Bernard was never a deep ball threat.

Our offensive play calling is suspect too

I’ve kind of ignored this but I decided to ask. The answer I’m getting is he took some hard hits and is “banged” up.

Limited skill set. Good college quarterback, not great. The 2 behind him are better. Simple as that
THIS!
We're caught is a trap! Like with Tua and Jalen, Saban was reluctant to make the change because he didn't want to mess with the "chemistry", but at half time of the Championship game, he had no choice.
I hope this coach has the guts to make the move if necessary;
PS-He sure needs to make sure his potential backup has been plenty of reps this week, and "skull sessions" with the QB coach and OC.

I think he has some type of nagging injury that we won't find out about till after the season. Also, when your best offensive lineman is your center that's a problem. As decently good as Proctor has been this yr he's not a schematic fit for this system. Formby has merely moved his suck from the end of the line to the inside. And last night was the first time I really noticed Dewberry completely whiffing on blocks. I really want to see what the line looks like next season.

Back injury is an issue and they were treating him on the bench when our defense was on the field.

We lack OL depth and when a starter is injured it hinders us.

Also missing our starting TE does not help.

If the injury seems to be affecting him as much as it appears UGA defense will pressure him more than AU did. We need to have another QB ready.

Everyone is banged up at this point of the season.

I'm a still confused to what that has to do with him mentally processing plays quicker or being accurate throwing deep?

He overthrew Germie... he is throwing the ball hard as he'll.

How is that because of injury?

I keep reading this from many of the "experts" here. "Grubbs is terrible" , etc.

But I also keep reading that Ty is changing a lot of the plays at the LOS. Sooooo, can someone ELI5 this idiot (ME), how Grubbs can be so horrible/terrible if Ty is changing 10%/25%/50%/75%/100%/?? of the Grubbs called plays?

I will reiterate I hate, hate, hate, hate the stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid trick/flea flicker plays with the passion of a trillion suns.

I also think that one of Ty's biggest issues, hitting the open man, is b/c he salivates at making those throws that are in extremely tight spots like the Horton TD, Brook's sideline holy schmokes catch, etc. Germie running free is boring to him, its almost like they don't practice together on timing every day. I wish Ty would just throw the short 2 I'd gain for the 1st down instead of the missed bomb.

As for injuries, that was the first time we've seen that on the sideline with Ty and they only showed it once last night? Not saying he isnt banged up, he has taken some shots that hurt me on my couch, but I'm pretty sure with the way those sideline reporters watch like a hawk, we'd have seen this before and they didn't go back to it again...why?

Lastly, who does Holly Rowe have so much blackmail dirt on that she keeps getting the main games??? She is the worst game reporter IMHO and its not even close.

You seriously cant believe any of what you wrote here. You think Ty is bored by wide open receivers so is choosing to throw to covered receivers intead? You dont think they practice timing? What do you think they do at practice?

The plays that Ty is changing to are Grubb designed play calls. They are just the second play call that the team is "given" during the huddle. Ty is also moving protections. Ty is trying to hard to make the perfect play. Take the easy stuff quit making it complicated. Daniels in his 3rd start? Was hitting wide open receivers because of play design and taking what the defense gave him.

Horrible design and bad timing which Grubb does all the time. Something is working, we just went down and scored a td....frick it let's try some weird shite that makes no sense.

Not throwing as hard as he does. Thats very painful and wouldn't be something he could do over the course of a game even if he had meds in him.

It would depend on the type and extent of the injury as to whether he could play through it.

I’ve said he has something going on since the Missouri. Compound that with letting people sit in zone with no fear of. Run getting to the second level, and you have DBs and even backers that can make your throwing lanes minimal. Mix that with bad o line play and he is getting happy feet, and being early or late.
