There were times when I thought our DDs had good coverage and couldn’t have done much more but still got beat by the receiver.

I have said this repeatedly over the years. We have a segment of our fans base that honest to God believes if the QB doesn't pass for 500 yds and 8 TDs every game with zero INT, they scream, "HE SUCKS!!!!".
Those type of fans make us all as a fan base look like lunatics. There's a big difference between high expectations and lunacy. Some of those fans are completely nuts.

And they are convinced that coach on the planet would practically ejaculate on himself at the chance to come be a part of that lunacy.

Um no. FSU is an average team and Daniels is below average QB. I just hope it was bad day for the defense and is not foreshadowing of what’s to come. There were definitely too much pumping up of the defense and Wommack all week and they got humbled.
