Not sure what you don’t understand. You can’t lead with the crown…ever. Doesn’t matter about defenseless if you lower your head and hit with the crown first. I didn’t like the call against Smith, at all, but it technically was leading with the crown by definition. Keep your head up when making a tackle and you’ll never get called unless the player is defenseless.
