I noticed they let Mo bring the ball up court some in this game. Reminded me of Herb doing that. Mo still needs some work on his handle. But its coming fellas. I wouldnt be surprised if by his senior year he is conference DPOY. Herb 2.0

Mo is becoming my favorite player. Need his minutes to go up and Jarin's to go down.

And has any noticed that grant looks to the bench every time he is called for a foul like what did I do. Own it dude.

Rename the hard hat to the Dioubate hat or Mo D hat.

Or when he commits a silly turnover he holds his hand and looks down at it grimacing. Hopefully he can get fully healthy because when he’s on he has nba potential.

no NBA future for him from my couch but I like when he is doing the hard hat hustle.

And what is his injury

Idk how Grant has an NBA future if he can't consistently hit threes.

Also I thought Sherrell had an amazing game. Looked quick on his feet, defended well, etc.

Looks like the light is turning on for him.

How great was it seeing Mo D just back his guy under the rim and make an easy layup? Hendrix called it a Barkley.

Might be that Oats was trying to force that matchup by letting Mo bring the ball up. Mo isnt the most polished or explosive offensive player but he is pretty smart and really big and strong. Apparently you cant just put a little guard on him. It will be interesting to see how he matches up going forward. Oats might have found something he likes, and you gotta expect Mo's minutes to go up after last night.

The great thing about Mo that is just like Herb is that he was on their number 1 scoring threat most of the second half and pretty much shut him down while still hustling all over the place racking up hard hat points.

Vandy/Alabama will all come down to how Alabama responds to Vandy's defensive pressure.

Vandy is #8 in turnover rate defense. Alabama is #133 in turnover rate (but has at times been much worse vs certain types of turnover creating defenses).

On the flip side, because of their turnover hunting, Vandy is #220 in free throw rate defense (they give up a ton of free throws) and #265 in 3PT% against (they give up a lot of good looks from 3). Alabama is #22 in free throw rate and while they are only #227 in 3PT% they've been better lately and have been much better in games where they are consistently getting open looks off kick outs.

If Alabama is turning it over and is sloppy early, could be a good one. If Alabama controls Vandy's pressure, could get ugly.

- Alabama only had a 13.4% turnover rate

- Alabama had a 53.1% free throw rate (even if we only made 23/34)

- Alabama made 36% of 3s (though on only 22 threes)

Vanderbilt clearly made a concerted effort to run us off the 3 pt line, and we smartly accepted and took the ball to rim aggressively. Shot 67% on 2s on 42 shots.

All in all, played out in the "could get ugly" (in a good way) way offensively.

Mo has really great spatial awareness, length, and body control and it allows him to play bigger or smaller than he is depending on the situation. Same deal as Herb. He just needs to spend all summer working on his shot and his handle. Slight improvements to both and he will be a monster 2 way player.

Last night was a Herb doppleganger game from Mo. Defensive length everywhere, refusing to let guys get him on their hips, erasing shots at the rim without fouling, slow motion looking euro steps while absorbing contact and still getting shots up on the rim.

Nate saying he bullied everyone in practice last week and so they installed his own package called "the off road package" is just chefs kiss.

Yep, and the only thing keeping it from being a huge blowout was some bad defense and Vandy channeling their inner Matt Freije for the last 10 minutes.

he looked healthy for the first time all year, like he could finally move his feet like he wanted. All year he's looked like he had lead in his shoes. Completely different player last night.

What the hell does an off road package entail? Step bars and KC lights?

When he hit that eurostep at one point in the 2nd half, it looked Giannis-esque.

That's certainly who he should mold his offensive game around imo. Gotta be somebody he's been watching closely...
