I just saw the teams in the Player’s Era for this season, and good grief it’s loaded! Maryland is in discussions to join as well
1991 against UT Chattanooga at Legion Field

I was there too. My earliest Bama basketball memory was that Sweet 16 game against Loyola when I was 8 years old. We made, I believe one more Sweet 16 until that (first) magical Elite 8 run.

Now I get to watch these tournament games with my 16 year old son, and I have a TON of pride in our program.

All of us who were around to see the lows know how high we are riding right now. Win or lose vs. Duke, I am so happy where we are in the college basketball world. Just awesome times
These rims look and sound super stiff. I hope we are able to get some shots to fall on em

Fishback just said on SEC Now that 52% of our games this season were against top 25 teams?! Incredible.

Sherrell won the hard hat and deservedly so
There was even a point in the second half, I believe, that Coach’s head was gonna explode if they didn’t dump it down to Cliff.

If we can sustain this level of defense, other than the slight second half lapses last night, we can beat down anybody. That’s the key for us

ETA: seemed like that might’ve been the most well officiated game of the season

The great thing about Mo that is just like Herb is that he was on their number 1 scoring threat most of the second half and pretty much shut him down while still hustling all over the place racking up hard hat points.

Not only that, but his contributions don’t necessarily show up on the stat sheet. He was the only defender last night that was able to consistently deny Eaglestaff the ball.

I can definitely see why he earned the 95 at Pepperdine

I’m late to the party, but I got a good one yesterday and a pretty good story to go along with it.

I’ll start by saying that I am fortunate enough to have had several nice bucks show up on my cams this year consistently. One in particular I named the Rock because he has a peculiar brow on his right side.

Noon yesterday nature was calling but there was a doe and fawn behind me in the woods. I finally couldn’t see them anymore by 12:30 so I slowly stood up and let it fly over the side of my stand. As soon as the last drop hit the ground, I saw antlers. An 8 point was walking downwind of my stand with the fresh puddle right under it. I only have time to put the horse in the barn, can’t even close the barn door.

He gets behind some brush thick enough for me to get my gun up to check him out in the scope. He’s a shooter.

While I’m watching him, I hear more steps from where he came. So I ease the scope in that direction and I see in a small window between trees, the people’s brow. He stood still for the next minute, but it seemed like an hour.

Propped against the tree and with only his neck in the scope, I touched the trigger and he dropped in his tracks. What a great day!

Refs letting Auburn mug Memphis and go over the back for almost every rebound

My two cents on the game last night:

Even though it was an inconsistent whistle at times, it was nice to get some blocking calls on drives where a team is playing that bully ball bull shite.

Holloway was great on both ends of the court. If he, Philon, Sears, and Wrightsell are all on in the same game we are the best team in the country.

Lastly, that game was a testament to how experienced our roster is. Getting down late like we did and battling back where younger teams would fold was good to see. We will definitely be battle tested come time for our conference schedule.

ETA: 2 double doubles!
This is what I’ve been saying since they announced the format of this 12-team playoff system. It assumes that all conferences are the same and gives an equal reward to a team such as the Big 12 or ACC champion for playing a schedule as soft as baby shite as it does the SEC team that remains standing when the dust settles on the brutal conference season.

I wish they’d just use a variety of methods to rank the top 12 teams and your rank is your seed.

That gym sounded INSANELY loud on TV, but if I ever have to watch a Big 10 basketball game on Peacock again, I will conscientiously object

Defense travels, so I’d rather that be on point if I had to choose
