SEC is way down this year. Kansas beat Mizz by 20 today and LSU down to TT by 20.

We joke about this every year, but Martin might legit be better than Noah

Within 10 seconds he already has a better highlight reel.

Philon is playing on another level from everyone else on the court.
He was clearly playing with his food today.
Jemison starting to come along with Bethea getting healthy should really help us defensively.
Sherrell is going to have to stay healthy and out of foul trouble though because he's literally all we have defensively if they get into the paint. Williamson is awful. He can't even stat pad against a bad team from the American.

Agree, SEC is definitely much leaner this year (especially at the top).... But LSU getting destroyed by any team with a pulse isn't new.

What’s the injury with the freshman low post guy?

How the frick was he the player of the year in the Patriot? He should at least be able to give us spot minutes.
He hedges screens really well on defense, thats literally about all the credit I can give him. And we have to do that because he can't play drop coverage.

Your guess is as good as mine. He looks like a Grant or Avery big though. A guy whose primary basketball skill is being tall. I mean thank goodness the light seems to have come on for Sherrell defensively. Otherwise we'd be completely fricked on the interior.

The SEC looks like dog shite this year.

I watched some while cat napping. Just a few observations from the stat sheet
2 starts had 4 points combined.
only 5 turnovers. Wow. May be the lowest number in years
FT shooting was excellent.

I didn't watch the game.
Why didn't Holloway and Bol Bowen play?

I think these are good tune up games for playing fast and working on execution at a fast pace... That said, playing against UTSA and seeing that your 2 bigs had 0 points in the paint is something this team needs to address. We can have finesse centers and beat 9 out of 10 teams, but this charmin soft bs around the hoop from our bigs offensively has been a problem for quite some time.

Biz still has a wrist injury and BoL Bowen had back spasms

Yep, and LSU being ranked 16th in NET is why I mentioned Clemson’s NET is likely inflated as well. They haven’t played very many decent teams at all.
A couple close wins/losses to bad ACC teams and they will be a Q2 win quickly

Texas A&M getting worked by SMU at the moment as well.
Vandy, Bama, Ark and UF appear to be competitive against just about anyone, even in losses.. Then it gets pretty murky
