I miss the days of great bama defense. Really can't wait for this Golding era to end.

Saban should go after Muschamp.

And they don’t miss tackles either

Well, lets beat this dead horse to death if we're gonna beat it:
It's very clear the uga defense understands their assignments and what they're supposed to be doing from play to play. They're in the right gaps, their LB's play like their hair is on fire, their DL win at the point of attack consistently- hell their trench play on both sides is bully ball. Their OL is in another league all together compared to Bama unfortunately both from a personnel, technique, and physical standpoint.
Quay Walker I think may be leading the way in tackles today.. I've been watching him and yeah, he's a dawg. Diagnosis plays quickly and arrives with bad intentions. Nakobe Dean who I thought was undersized out of H.S. comes down and stones the F outta ball carriers- he's running to and through the ball carrier like your supposed to.
Quay Walker was committed to Bama I think at some point, and he got in trouble with his H.S. team- told a coach to F off I think that told him to stop eating on the sideline... I dunno if we cooled after that or if he decided he was a better fit at georgia but yeah... some of these violent players are not candystripers to steal a term from CNS.
But here is the thing- everything went according to plan for uga here in this first half and they are up 7 points on kentucky. If Bama can simply get a semi good plan, and motivate the players our offense can outscore UGA if we can keep bryce upright for 3-4 seconds.
Georgia could be peeking, and we'll see if Bama is going to mature down the stretch. Our ILB play and total lack of aggression on D however gives me great concern vs their ground attack.
I dont know... I think if Bama will simply start working in some of the talent we have on the Bench we could be a totally different looking team by the SECCG if we make it that far.
I know the OL can be better they have uber talent on the sidelines. Brooks and Hall could revamp our WR corp in one weekend possibly if they make it on the field at some point. Only time will tell, but right now uga just better coached, and they are playing faster because they are not confused AF. They definitely aren't some unbeatable juggernaut though with their offense.

Yep. We bitched about Kirby a good bit at times but his defenses are light years better than the garbage we have now.

No, that was VanDarius Cowan.
Walker was the worst kept secret that he was gonna flip to UGA on NSD.

Kirby was a very good recruiter and evaluator too. Even Pruitt’s LB recruits didn’t work out too well.

Id just like to have everyone knowing their assignments before the ball is snapped.

Same with their offensive line.
I’m sorry, but we must have had bad recruiting misses and/or star inflation. The two teams do not look the same.
The effort and fire is what hurts because that isn’t talent.

They play identical to how THE TIDE used to play...With similar personnel...Ga is beat up in their backend and that is their weakness if there is one.WAnderson and Jobe,if he has his head out of his arse, are the ONLY 2 Bama defenders who would get on the field for Ga....Possibly Battle...Maybe..

Might as well....I mean who gives a frick at this point......let some of these young dogs on field and lets see what happens

If the best players are having to watch the game on the bench, it gets demoralizing eventually.
The fact that certain players are still playing speaks to poor development.
That starts at the top.

I dont think uga has been touched by the injury bug yet this year either so... at some point you'd think they'd lose somebody.
Bama down two OLB's, most versatile RB, and what probably would have been our fastest RB (wheaton), and OL George late in fall camp.

This defense is capable of playing outstanding football. We saw that in the first half against Miami, Mercer, Ole Miss and in the first quarter against Florida. They shut those teams down for 15-30 minutes. The problem is the other team either came out and made the appropriate adjustments or our defense lost its intensity. I'm willing to bet the latter is more true than the former. That speaks to leadership on the field more than it does coaching on the sideline.
Look at how physical we were in the first half against Ole Miss two weeks ago and compare that to how we played against Texas A&M. It's night and day. While I have no doubt coaching has played a role in some of what has transpired on that side of the ball this season, at some point the players are going to have to start giving a shite.
Saban has alluded to it all week and has been speaking to the team through the media. They aren't elite because they don't do all the things necessary to be elite. They have the talent to win it all but they play down to their competition because they think everything will be handed to them due entirely to the uniform they wear.

Hell I’m jealous of Kentucky’s defense. They’ve played relatively sound with good basic fundamentals ie tackling!

Respectfully disagree. We’re one of the most injured teams in CFB

Zone defense half the time blah! GEORGIA HASN'T PLAYED NOT ONE TEAM WITH A PULSE ON OFFENSE! Florida? Ole Miss? Texas A&M?...Anybody? I won't all y'all to RIDE with Georgia when we play them! It's gonna happen to!

Meh Kirby’s defenses were abused at times both here and at UGA. This year’s defense is one of if not his best mainly because 7 of them are seniors and 3 of them are juniors.
So not only are they one of the most talented defenses, they might be the oldest and most experienced too

So your defense is missing one starter?
