Ya was a complete bust hire by Avery and now it appears he may get us in hot water?? That’s just great! Wasn’t he involved in Colin’s recruiting?

I still remember the Jaren Sina situation, that was incredibly frustrating.

Wisconsin and Jim Belein's Michigan teams aren't known for snagging five start players, h3ll even four star players. They make the tourney most years.

I imagine there are a lot of HS guards out there who would want to come to Bama to follow Sexton and Kira, Kira could easily play himself into a first round pick with a great season.

Personally I hope RJ Cole is the heir apparent.

Hopefully RJ Cole gets a waiver and he gets to play with Kira. Man RJ,Kira, and Beetle would be sick.

That’s a complete pipe dream though, right? Or did I miss that that’s a possibility?

If Tate Martell can get a waiver because of a coaching change, despite the fact that the coach who was his primary recruiter got promoted to head coach, anyone can.

I get that and I’m not saying that he can’t get one, I just haven’t heard it even mentioned at all before that post. Just wondering if there’s been talk of it that I somehow missed.

Howard transfer RJ Cole has switched his Alabama visit to May 3rd to the 5th, then will head to UConn the weekend after, a source told @Stockrisers.

Cole is also weighing options and thinking about scheduling an Arkansas visit.

Three years ago, RJ Cole was the face of the St. Anthony’s program that was also one of the last great teams that the famous Bob Hurley ever coached at the now defunct school. For such a role, usually Cole would be a heavily recruited, high-major target. He was not as many believed that he was more of an undersized scoring guard and couldn’t cut it at the highest level. Howard reaped such rewards and since his enrollment, he has posted over 21 points, six assists and three rebounds in each of his college seasons.

Now ready to leave his mark at the power conference level, Cole, who is one of the top traditional transfers available this spring, is seeing the high-major interest come in that was warranted during his high school days.

Already, he has met with the coaches from Alabama, UConn and Murray State. A visit has been set to Alabama for the first weekend in May and another has been scheduled to UConn on the weekend of May 9. Arkansas will likely receive his third official visit which could take place beginning on May 17.

Cole told tell Rivals.com that he plans on taking all five of his allotted official visits and that Butler, Boston College, Cal, Colorado State, Notre Dame, Oklahoma State, Pitt, Stanford, Virginia Tech and Washington State have also expressed heavy interest in securing one the two remaining visits that he would be allowed to take.

I haven't seen any mention of it either, but these days I think it's safe to assume every non-grad transfer will be seeking a waiver. The NCAA has signaled that you only need to put up a small fight to get them to back down. Like I said, if they are going to give one to some totally full of shite kid like Tathan, then they should give one to anybody.

It really depends if you can hire Mars or not. Literally if you look at who has been granted waivers and who hasn't the common denominator is how terrified the NCAA is of Mars using the courtroom to fricking blow up their shite.

Very true. I’ve heard of two cases where kids have legit transfer cases for family issues and the NCAA morons have denied both. Yet anybody who retains Mars can get a transfer waiver for a hangnail

Doesn't surprise me, Musselman built his team at Nevada on transfers similar to how Oats did at Buffalo.

Mars has been getting waivers in football though, they seem to be harder to get in Bball. I anticipate he will have to sit out a year, but still that would work out great for us since we lose Bolden and probably Lewis after this year.In 2020 he could step in and be our main offensive weapon and get the same 15+ shots a game he was getting at Howard.

This is really hard to maintain, Musselman was looking at a really bad year in Nevada because he was about to deal with losing his best transfers and his newer ones hadn't panned out.
