The obvious answer is Shackelford.

I’d also say Ambrose-Hylton could leave if we need him too.

I would prefer Ambrose over Bediako. I’m just not high on Bediako.

I'm pretty sure he has already thrown enough personal insults at Shack to safely consider him squarely on the retard list. We're talking about players who he hasn't yet decided are unworthy of playing D1 basketball because they make less than 100% of their shots.

Ambrose-Hylton was a raw true freshman, let that sink in.

Is he the next one to be on your "retard" list?

This team will NEVER succeed until every member of that shittty 2020 class is gone. Ambrose-Hylton is pure trash. Ambrose-Hylton plays good once every 10 games. Ambrose-Hylton shoots, dribbles, finishes layups, and passes like a retard, but he hustles and plays slightly above average D. Whoopity shite. Doing one thing good and blowing at every other basketball skill doesn’t make a good player, it handcuffs us. He is the most mentally whipped pusssy I’ve ever seen, and I can’t wait until he is gone.

Clearly sarcasm is lost on this board.

I figure everyone had seen that beauty by now. That's about as thick I can lay on the sarcasm. The only freshmen I usually see transfer, are the McDonald's All-Americans types, that see limited minutes, or realize their skills are a bad fit into a system. They see the other 5 stars go one and done, and seem to start looking around, and seeing who can develop them.

Four more days until Nimari Burnett announces. Even if he isn't a good shooter (which he'll undoubtedly get better under Oats' system if he commits), he's just the kind of guard we'd love. He looks like a good facilitator, defender, and plays well in transition. Also, he has good handles. I

We're gonna miss the leadership of Herb and Petty, but I so look forward to next year with guys who are better dribblers. Both guys were hit or miss when it came to handling the ball, and it cost us quality possessions. We'll have a plethora of guys next season that are combo guards and capable of creating their own shot.

just watched some of gurley's highlights. dude looks like a right handed herb body type, that shoots better and handles the ball better. 247 has him listed at 6'8". his offensive game around the rim looks good and hes comfortable shooting 3's. the highlights i seen didnt show his defensive skilz. so have no knowledge of that aspect.

He body type reminds me of Keon Ambrose, but Gurley is a lot more skilled on offense. I think he is what the staff hopes KAH can develop into.

Possibly 3 of our targets announce this week.

Bediako (rumored) 4-6-21
Burnett - 4-8-21
Gurley - 4-11-21

Busting Brackets ranks Gurley as the 7th best available transfer. They rank Burnett 35th, which imo is way too low, I think both are top 10.

Here is what they say about Gurley

quote:

7. F Noah Gurley – Furman
2020-21 stats: 15.4 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 2.5 apg
The junior forward has been one of the better players in the SoCon the past two years, awarded with all-conference honors. Gurley really turned in on in the final four games of this season, averaging 26 ppg and scoring a career-high 30 points in the finale against VMI.

The 6’8 forward can score and defend at a high level and can even spread the floor. Among mid-major forwards entering the portal, Gurley is the one I have the highest confidence in making the transition.

They have Jayden Gardner who we also contacted ranked 4th.

(Tre Mitchell is ranked 1st.)

ESPN's transfer rankings have Burnett as the 5th ranked transfer

quote:

5. Nimari Burnett, 6-6, 220, G, Fr., Texas Tech

A five-star recruit coming out of high school, Burnett struggled offensively early and saw his role diminish as the season progressed. He can play either guard spot and is also solid defensively.

I think we'll probably get

Bediako + 1 of Burnett or Gurley

Seem like pretty good fits for our top needs.
