Was watching Duke and Louisville while I was at the gym and got to thinking.....
Oats could really take us places and I'd love it if we could hang onto him long term, given things continue to play out like they have. The man can freaking coach. Lofty goal here, but imagine if he became our coach K

Yeah we’ve lost to some really trashy Vandy teams in that hellhole.

I know people aren’t happy that Alabama chose to just renovate Coleman. But I think it can be a really great facility. In much the same way Sewell-Thomas was done for baseball.
I have no issue with the decision to gut Coleman and completely rebuild it provided they rearrange it so that there are multiple levels of seating along the sidelines and the student section is entirely down at floor level. My issue with what is being done with Coleman is that we have one of the worst facilities in the conference in a revenue sport and it is having to get in line behind a renovation of BDS that absolutely could have waited a couple of years whereas Coleman needed a complete overhaul 10 years ago.

Still remember the terrible officiating

So I have watched a lot of basketball today, and randomly managed to stumble onto a weird Alabama basketball stat while watching the LSU-Ole Miss game.
Beetle Bolden fouled out in 8 minutes today. Which is obviously pretty impressive.
That got me looking at his game log - he fouled out in 12 minutes earlier in the season.
He's now fouled out 4 times this year.
To put this into a bit of context, Daniel Giddens fouled out twice in his entire Alabama career.
He's even fouling out in strange games. Like why would he foul out in blowout wins versus Southern Miss and Florida Atlantic?
He's also had four fouls in 3 other games. He's a machine.

I like his intensity defensively but he’s way too handsy and just picks up really bad fouls. It’s like he goes brain dead a couple times every game.

Part of that is how much pressure he puts on ball handlers. The rest of it is his absolutely terrible decision making in games.

I'd like to hear his thoughts on the difference in officiating between the SEC and Big 12.

State is very Jekyll and Hyde. UGA must be too.

We really need to come out and just beat the breaks off of Vanderbilt from the opening tip

The SEC in it's entirety is. No way we beat State by more than 5 in the Hump

Going into tonight's game with UT, Vandy had a historic 34 year, 1080 game, 3 pointer made streak. They went 0 for 25 vs the Vols at home to end the streak.
They'll start a new 3 pointer streak Wednesday night. Hopefully, we'll make quiet a few more, win, get ready for a K.State team who upset West Virginia tonight.

Its like Oats says earlier in the year, WV fouls on every possession and eventually the refs stop calling it.

Say instead of doing the BDS renovations right now say we gutted Coleman as soon as the season is over and start it's makeover, where would they play next year? BJCC is closing in March for an 18 month renovation.

Share Foster for a season and just live with the small size? There doesn't seem to be a good option until BJCC is available.

At this point, it will take more than 18 months to get a project to replace Coleman going so that’s really a moot point. But we do need to make that a top priority because that’s going to matter in keeping Oats here. The FOGs aint gonna like it but I told you guys we had the basketball equivalent of Nick Saban and we need to do what it takes to keep him happy and in Tuscaloosa for a long time.
