That is the Kira that will be drafted in the first round.
Consistency will be the key as to whether that happens this year or next.

This is a signature win for Nate Oats and Alabama. To beat the 4th ranked team in the country proves that this Alabama program is on the right track. Their record isn’t great right now but I do think they can rally to get in the NCAA Tournament discussion.

Almost as exciting to me as winning last night is the fact that.........
@ #14 Kentucky & vs #4 Auburn
3 Pt : 10/42 (24%)
Lost by 9 in a close game we had a chance to win late and won by 19. Against 2 Top 15 teams, one on the road. We are not just a chucker team and we can win even when we don't shoot the ball well from 3. That's fantastic.

Per teamrankings, Alabama currently has a 78.2% chance of making the NCAA tournament. Alabama’s most likely seed is the 8th seed.
8/9 seeds are the fricking worst. I'd rather be an 11.

Kinda kicking myself for turning down a ticket yesterday afternoon. Those 8 o'clock tipoffs just wreck me as I usually don't get back to Bham until close to midnight.
Oh well. I'll be there Saturday at least. Love mid afternoon tipoffs on Saturday. No pressure to get down there too early, and plenty of time after to hang out in Tuscaloosa afterwards.

Giving yourselves a chance to win against a legit opponent even when you don't have your A game is a really big deal. It is something we have only seen from a couple of our teams in recent history. Getting them to put last night in the rearview mirror and be ready for Mizzou is the next test for Oats. Completely shitting the bed at home in the game following a big win has pretty much become an Alabama basketball tradition at this point. We have to beat Mizzou and K-State at home and find a way to escape Memorial Clown Car with a W to stay on track for a tournament bid.

You leave the lanes open, Kira will make you pay.
Bolden did a great job off the bench. Drove the lane, played well on Def, took charges. Had a nice complete game.

I agree - we need to string wins together before going to LSU. Mizzou, K-State and Vandy are critical before getting to @LSU and then Arkansas.
With the AU win under our belt what SEC record do you think Alabama needs to get in the tournament? Would 11-7 be enough?

Seems like the magic number for Bama right now is 18 wins give or take. The Big 12/SEC challenge can change that. With a win against Kansas St., 18 wins would require a 10-8 record.

I think that number is going to move to 19 or possibly 20 with the way Penn and UNC are tanking.

It could, will be interesting to see how the Big 12/SEC challenge plays out. Just tying could be important for many SEC teams.

Iowa State isn't helping us much either, and while Penn St still has good numbers they've lost 3 straight

No Gene yet?
He's a good poster - and I enjoy his break downs - but I feel like he almost always conveniently shows up after Bama loses.

I can’t tell you how happy I am to see this. I was afraid we were going to be one of those live by the sword, die by the sword teams.
Oaks is surprising me a bit.
