I know it's probably a pipe dream but would love to see CKD hire North Texas OC Jordan Davis (North Texas put up some gaudy numbers this year) and Iowa O line coach George Barnett (very physical line play at Iowa and winner of the Joe Moore Award).

IMO, that would almost solve the offensive issues for Bama.

Not sure those 2 things are compatible with each other, but I haven’t studied it. Part of why Iowa is so physical is the OC’s commitment to run smash mouth football. Not sure if UNT’s OC fits that bill or not.

Did he call the plays or was it the head coach?

Yea I hope we don’t end up with the “explosiveness” of Iowa football

If you don’t expect too much you won’t be let down.

I want an OC with a more balanced pro spread type offense and bring in Sam Pittman and what about Coach O as d line coach?

I want an OC who understands there are more offensive players than the quarterback. I don’t mind a quarterback centric offense but I mentioned the other day that I had looked deeper into Grubb’s time in Seattle and a huge knock at him was that he only cared about the QB, that’s why the running game sucked.

You'll get to see him first game...as the new OC for East Carolina.

I want an offense that moves the ball and scores points.

Not a great position coach, hates our program.

Almost anybody just on this forum would be a better OC than Grubb. We could just pick someone at random and be immediately improved.

Hell, somewhere in Oklahoma, Dave Rader was laughing his arse off watching Alabama, Thursday.
