Turnover was expected, to think otherwise was foolish

Y'all... Stop melting. This amount of turnover by players is expected in today's NIL world. Give the new staff (a great staff, btw) time to work.

If you can't take a little adversity, then please exit stage left with the transfers... I'm sure other fan bases would love to have you.

This. I’m more shocked that fans DIDN’T expect us to lose players.

The entire staff has been rebuilt. New coach has to get HIS guys in there to build HIS team. The kids leaving came here for Saban. Let them go.

I’m personally excited for this season.

They’re not gonna stop because most of these idiots don’t remember post Stallings and pre Saban. If DeBoer kills it and has Bama competing in playoffs regularly I hope people remember all of these “fans” who shite all over the hire from the beginning and quit less than a week into the hire. Bunch of pansies.

Hey, here's a thought exercise.

Does anyone remember coming to this board a few months ago and complaining about a C who couldn't snap the ball consistently, WRs who couldn't get separation, or a LT who was a revolving door?

Maybe an overhaul on the offensive side of the ball — including coordinators — isn't such a bad thing. Especially when a lot of those guys just made it farther than we did in the CFP.

If we installed the entire Washington offense and only kept the majority of our existing defense, is that really a major issue?

I don't know either, but let's not automatically assume the worst.

Yes... It is when the GOAT that recruited them retired. The exit is that way... Please see yourself out.

We are already at record numbers of top talent transferring and we still have 21 days of this open window left. No one expected this type of turnover.

I wonder how many top players need to transfer for this board to see the obvious.

The Charmin Brigade that is leading "muh Kiffin" is laughable.

You can't go from the GOAT with no adversity. Anyone with a brain can see that DeBoer was one of the better hires we could have made. From an Xs and Os perspective, he is the BEST coach we could have hired.

From a recruiting perspective, we will see but you can't fault him for folks leaving who came to play for the GOAT and not the University.

DeBoer is a week in and doesn't even have his staff in place. We won't know what this hire looks like for awhile. You can't determine it in a week.

With that being said; We have some SOFT fans that are embarassing. The Charmin Brigade ain't worth a piss and you can tell that because the same people takes every post personal and believes they are better than everyone else.

I'd LOVE to be able to hire these people to replace a 20 year vet and start critiquing their job ability within the first week and openly calling them out.

How many players were in the Portal before Saban left? Can you answer that question?

Can we fault him for telling Sayin to leave? Is that allowed?

Y’all act like DeBoer isn’t going to replace these guys. We have 4 and 5 stars on the bench that will step up. Depth won’t be what it was, but the product on the field will be the same.

No, this amount of turnover shouldn't be okay and needs to stop being rationalized because you want to pump sunshine.

We didn't need a rebuild. We needed a continuation.

Instead we hired a guy who is happily dumping off all the talent the GOAT accumulated to ensure the next coach had a easier ride.

Yet you guys think we're idiots for not being ecstatic about it.

ALABAMA IS NOT WASHINGTON

CKD is about to learn hard about the SEC and he probably won't be here long.

I haven't seen that report. Can you post it?

If you are going to say, well DeBoer took on another QB! It's written in the tea leaves! Can you post a report or someone who is deeply involved providing all the information on how this went down?

You're an absolute moron if you didn't think this was going to take place. Either that or you've paid no attention to other teams when they've made coaching changes.

UT had over 30 players enter the portal when they fired Pruitt, not a word was said here. UW has 27 in right now. Auburn lost 31 players to the portal and had more than half of their recruiting class decommit. No one seemed to care about that here.

This in an opportunity for a big payday for players that are at a school not for love, but for business. Also, if not for money, players come to schools for coaches. When they leave they'll look to a place that was recruiting them and where there is an existing relationship. Those things can't be built in 5 days.

This should’ve been Byrne’s number one objective.
