That's solid, but without having any facts to back it up, my guess is those ratings are a bit below the norm for Bama lately. Neal and Williams are obvious first rounders, Mathis maybe borderline but more likely a second round. Harris and Metchie may 2-3 round. After that, looks like middle to late round ratings.

I think you're correct in your assessment.
Day 1 - Neal, Williams
Day 2 - Mathis, Harris, Metchie
Day 3 - Robinson, Allen, Jobe, Armor-Davis
If Robinson has good pre-draft he might could move up to a Day 2 guy.

Wouldn’t be shocked if some team takes a chance on Harris in Round 1. As of today, he’s most likely a 2nd round pick IMO, but let’s see how he grades out at the combine. He was lights out after the Arkansas game, and the kid has a ton of potential once he gets NFL-level ILB coaching. Reminds me of Patrick Queen from LSU (2019).
I’d be very surprised if Mathis is a Day 1 selection. I see him as a Jarran Reed-type: not as highly decorated as some others that ESPN decided to hype up, but an all around solid player that will contribute/start in the league for years. Mathis, for whatever reason, didn’t get the love from the media this year that he deserves after being a very, very good player for us the past two seasons.
Re: Chris Allen - some team is going to get an absolute steal picking this kid. We all know about the injuries he has had to deal with over the years; but when he was healthy and on the field, all he did was make plays for us. Not sure how much this means given that Miami was pretty bad this year, but Allen looked just as dominant as Will Anderson against the Canes opening week. Kid got completely robbed by a freak injury. Again.

I would take Mathis over Jordan Davis any day of the week.

i could see Mathis having a better NFL career than Davis
Mathis is similar to Reed like the one poster said, and Davis reminds me of Mt Cody, great cfb player but not sure how he will do in the NFL

I think it depends on what system. Not many teams use a guy like Davis but if he is used strictly to stuff the hole he will be a monster at that. I think a team like the 49ers would love him.

Evan Neal has an outside shot of going #1 overall.
After that...no one else is guaranteed first round. Williams pre-injury was a lock, but now he might fall to early second round. Always a possibility for those guys pegged to go in the late first...but I still think he goes in the 20s.

I don’t see much use for a guy like Davis in todays NFL. He’s a one-down or situational player. Someone will overdraft him.

Davis will be awful in the NFL if he doesn’t lose 20+ lbs. He was the most overrated player in college football this year

I think he falls to the late 2nd round and that’s still too high. Albert Haynesworth types have very little use in the NFL anymore.

The Jags would be crazy to not take a tackle at 1.01. They need to protect Sunshine.

Davis has a fifth round skillset at best IMO.
