I consider Jacobs out until directly stated otherwise by Saban. Even if he physically heals in time for FSU, he likely will have missed too much game prep to be significantly involved in the gameplan. I'm hoping he's back for SEC play. You can't rush a hammy.

If Jacobs tries to rush things, these things can last all season.

We've got Bo, Damien, and Najee. Jacobs can rest up

And Brian Robinson. I don't know why he gets slept on by Bama fans. I'm sure he'll have a nice career at Bama, and I highly doubt he redshirts this year. Dude can play.

Bo and Najee as a 1-2 punch seems unfair to the opposing defense. Are they going to be the new version of Ingram and Richardson?

Why is everybody forgetting about D. Harris? He is no slouch, and according to people in the program he is very likeable, well coached, and has improved.

No. Because there's a 1000 runner back in Damien Harris.

Brandon and Austin Allen have taken some pretty good beatings at Arkansas. I'm not trying to take anything away from DF.

Agreed.

Everybody keeps talking about Najee, and I think he's going to just get mostly mop up duty and special teams work, barring injuries to the guys ahead of him.

Damien Harris had the best numbers on the team last year, including ypc.

I refuse to believe anyone had it worse than Brodie Croyle. He played behind a good one in 2002, but it was decimated with injuries in 2003. And just plain bad in 2004 and 2005.

Then he gets drafted by the Chiefs and they have the worst OL in the NFL after losing guys to free agency and retirement.

Just a random thought on Brodie, but I thought he was horrible at QB sneaks.

Brodie came along about 10 years too soon. He was a toothpick, and Cochran would have done to him what he did for AJ McCarron which is really beef him up and prepare him for SEC football. He never got that under Shula.

Secondly, he would have played behind good lines under Saban. Who knows what could have been. I think he would have had a similar career as AJ--multiple titles and a solid NFL back-up with a potential to become a legit starter for an NFL team. As it is, he still did ok for himself football wise and now has a good job doing what he wants in ministry--but he could have been legendary under Saban.

Damn, nice catch. He looks like a centerfielder making an over the shoulder catch. Except he does it without a baseball glove.

If you want to go the NFL route, look no further than David Carr. That dude was sacked 249 times in his 5 years in Houston. Brodie was only sacked 26 times in 5 years. For comparison Brett Farve was sacked 525 times in 18 years. Dan Marino was only sacked 270 times in 17 years. I got all the stats from pro-football-reference.com.

Off the field, he supposedly had it fantastic and absolutely slayed while in Tuscaloosa, so no one had it better. On the field, he had to play with Chris Capps on his o-line, so no one had it worse.
