I guess we're getting there, one $16 Coleman cheeseburger at a time.
Wonder if they push it to $20 for the 23-24 season.

No, they'll just stick card readers on the condiment stations and charge 50¢ for ketchup, mustard, etc.

Honestly wish we go away from building stuff to focusing on 'net infrastructure. Alot of this spending is going to look foolish after the college bubble bursts. Even Vanderbilt (where I live) has gone crazy with building mania. The long term future of education is online/vr.

What you just described is called interest rate risk. It's baffling so many business leaders and the like don't understand this.

I can't remember what game it was, but one time this past season we were walking out along that outside wall, and a lady in the concession stand was just handing out free hotdogs — she had a whole pan full of those individually wrapped bad boys, encouraging us to take several.

I think I ended up with three, but only two survived the trip home.

It's amazing how good a victory, condiment-less hotdog is when it's free.

While it would be cool to get the new arena sooner, if CNO is okay and on-board with taking care of the NIL situation first (and figuring out what that's likely to require) and waiting a couple extra years on the arena, then so am I. That seems like it's the prudent thing to do if construction costs truly have gone up. We can be patient a couple more years as long as we're recruiting at the level we continue to and continue to put the top-notch product on the court that we have been.

Surprised to see Cincinnati in the mix. I get ole miss, since they hired the don't assistant. Kansas is Kansas. But Cincy?

Reports: Former Arkansas, Houston forward Reggie Chaney dies at 23

A cause of death was not immediately available.

Chaney had just finished his final season of college basketball at Houston. He had transferred to the Cougars’ program in 2020 after two seasons with the Razorbacks.

With Houston, Chaney helped the team to the 2021 Final Four and was named American Athletic Conference Sixth Man of the Year in 2023. At both Arkansas and Houston, Chaney was known for his hard-nosed, old-school style of interior play.

Chaney’s best individual season was his first with Arkansas. He averaged 16 minutes a game in 34 games for the Razorbacks, scoring 5.4 points and grabbing 3.5 rebounds per game.

While not a certainty, I do think costs will probably come down some as the economy stabilizes post covid. My biggest fear all along has been that we would build a fancy dinky little arena. Hopefully, in a year or 2 they will see the folly in that and build an arena that is appropriate for our fans and an elite basketball program, but I'm not really counting on it.

especially since we've averaged above that for about 40 years.

One way the administration would be extremely short-sighted is if they have minimal student seating. How do they expect students to become loyal fans if they can't go to the games? They don't seem to grasp the concept that student fans become alumni fans. They seem to be looking about 6 inches past the end of their noses.

In the last design pictures, students are right up front around three quarters of the court. They will never have seats that good again- unless they pony up a $250,000 per seat donation for floor seats.
