TIFWIW couple guys on TI indicate we are a legit contender for Nelson. One indicated Udeh is a legit possibility.
Either onw by themselves would significantly change the teams makeup. Both would make this a majorly successful off-season.
Let's pray.

WOAH
From Hank South regarding Grant Nelson:
“I exchanged messages with his mom and she says they plan to visit Alabama but a date is not yet set.
Will hopefully have more info soon.”

That's huge. Honestly, I'm not sure there is a program that would be better for what he needs to make it to the next level than ours. He needs to prove he can shoot, which he'll be given plenty of opportunity to do. He needs to prove he can work as a part of the system instead of the central engine of it.
He's largely being dismissed as just an internet sensation by draft guys, but I'm not sure how most don't have the guy as at least a 2nd round pick. Sure the concerns are warranted, but in the 2nd round, I'm a huge believer in drafting based off potential and he offers a ton of it for the low cost of a 2nd round pick. At that point, it is already a crap shoot. Why not take an outside shot at a guy who could become something special. I'm a pretty big NBA draft guy and if I was expanding my board past 30, he'd for sure be in my top 45.

Where would you place Bediako? I would take him in the 2nd round, as i think he has NBA potential, but he isn't expected to be drafted.

I don't think I'd take him. Provides very little on offense. Not very switchable at the next level and he's not elite enough on rim protection to make up for it. His type of big just doesn't have much value any more unless they are top of the class rim protectors, and he's just not at that level.
That's not to take away from his value to last year's team. Great collegiate defensive anchor, just not what it takes to play at the next level. Only real chance for him would be to develop a solid outside shot and the dip in FT% this past year would be too concerning to bank on that happening.

I don't know if that works, but I got it at a Bama merchandise store on University Blvd around 22nd Street back early last season. JQ had autographed some the Friday before a Saturday game. All hts had a purple jelly loking smear with JQ written over it and some sort of figure holding a basketball. Forgotten the name. Alabama something.

I dont watch the nba that much, but those guys that play in that league have to be some of the best athletes on earth.
And they have crazy good bball skills. If you make it up there you are in a elite level of athleticism.

Andrew Parrish (Bama Basketball Space) created a scholarship chart for each team. You just filter on the conference and then the team to see the scholarship status by class.

Just need to land Grant Nelson badly. We're ready to ride if we can land Nelson.
Can you imagine...Nelson and Walters? Holy lunch pail.
