KK Robinson, the former No. 39 overall prospect in the 2020 Class, will transfer out of Arkansas.

Lot of talent in the former four-star.

Very surprised KK never developed like I thought he would. Lykes was ahead of him and thats saying something considering lykes was a defensive liability.

Josh Primo Dunk and 1

Hellllllo

It always amazes me how guys change so much in one year from college to the NBA as far as taking it aggressively to the rim. How many times have you seen guys just dunk on someone in the NBA that you never saw do that in college? Did Primo ever go to the rim that hard last year and just throw it down?

In college, 2 guys would’ve been there waiting to take a charge…defense is very optional in the NBA. If you’re athletic enough to take advantage, the NBA offers much more opportunity to show off.

Not only that, the lane is considerably wider and the defensive 3 second call prevents guys from camping out in the lane.

Defense is very hard in the NBA. The rules prevent you from hanging out in the lane or sagging off bigs, everybody on the floor can shoot and every guard can beat you off the dribble.

Significantly different than the majority of college games where half the guys on offense aren't true threats.

If you sit on the baseline for just 1 regular season game you quickly realize that everyone is huge, everyone is fast and everything is hard.

Cmon man, I know you ain’t trying to defend the poor defense in the NBA.

Last night, 5 games had teams score over 130 points, and that was only tied for 3RD MOST ever!

Not just anybody can play in the NBA despite the night in and night out lack of effort on D - they do play a ton of games, so I don’t fault them - but I also won’t be surprised to see a guy like JD go in and have solid success where he can attack the open floor and live off dunking and floaters.

I just very much disagree with the general notion that "they don't play defense in the NBA". Now, late in the season when teams are eliminated, tired and prepping for the playoffs do they possibly decide to exert less effort? Sure.

But as a fan of a team who is terrible defensively I can tell you that it is absolutely not due to lack of effort. It's due to too many guys who were average/bad college defenders and have no shot to consistently get stops against NBA offensive players and systems that are nearly impossible for even the best defenses to consistently stop.

Makes sense. For me, after watching several games, I'm doing what I can to pull Pack. If not him, then Sears. Jaelin might be fine. Just hard for me to get a good read on him.

Where would potential transfer Antonio Reeves fit in on next year's team? I remember someone posting some of his film on here a few days ago and his size, ball handling, driving, step back 3 abilities and his ability to get his own shot were all very impressive. I'm surprised he's no longer mentioned much. Is he a big liability defensively?

In all honesty we have no idea who they are seriously targeting and who they aren't. And we haven't been linked to all that many guys so we're really just shooting the shite in here playing fantasy transfer portal

I like watching NBA playoffs more than just about any other basketball. They definitely play defense then. It’s insane to see how talented they are even shortly after watching March madness.

24-second shot clock, way more talented offensive players, defensive 3-seconds, and 8 minutes more of actual game time results in way higher scores. The "no defense in the NBA" take is way too overplayed.

Agree. We did have Llewelyn in for a visit through Monday and with players talking with him, so he is somebody the coaches are serious about. Anxious to see if Sears comes in for a visit. I may be in the minority, but I do not think the coaches are trying to run off current players to sign transfers from smaller schools. We have some good players now with SEC experience and two open spots for transfers. JQ will likely have a year’s rehab. Is there a medical redshirt he can get? He may want to rehab with Andrews here. I read Kira is in Bham for rehab too.

I think Tchikou, Ambrose, and Holt were all forced out. If Miles and/or Gary leave, I don’t think this will necessarily be our coaches pushing them out the door.

That sucks. Guess that small school guy was good enough for a top tier power 5 school? Not directed at you, Chad.

He was one of the four I'd have on my list.
