It’s coming back but I might have to play it in the nursing home

Some late night games for us. I see Gary Parrish has Gonzaga at 21 in his preseason rankings. Ike will be a good test to see if we’ve got guys who can defend an interior scorer. He’s a bull.

Anybody seen this? ESPN Way too Early Top 25
17. Alabama Crimson Tide
Previous ranking: 17
Impact newcomer: Jalil Bethea
Bethea might determine Alabama's ceiling this season. He's a former top-10 prospect in the 2024 class who played sparingly early in his freshman season at Miami and never found a consistent role until the final stretch of a lost campaign. But don't sell your stock in Bethea just yet -- he was an elite shotmaker in high school, and coach Nate Oats' offense could bring that out of him again.
Projected starting lineup
Labaron Philon (10.6 PPG)
Aden Holloway (11.4 PPG)
Jalil Bethea (7.1 PPG at Miami)
Taylor Bol Bowen (8.0 PPG at Florida State)
Noah Williamson (17.6 PPG at Bucknell)
Looks like Jeff Borzello just threw some shite together with that starting 5

Sherrell is going to be the starting center imo

Definitely starting, and probably a really big piece of the offense. If his passing is good, the sky is the limit. i could see us using him a lot in PNR spots at the top. We know he can shoot it.

He was starting to put everything together at the end of last year. He's definitely got the body to handle the post in an SEC schedule. Williamson is a 7 footer that's 250 lbs and dominated low major. So he hasn't seen the physicality Sherrell did last year. I think at worst he's 5 fouls, at best gets 15 mpg backing up Sherrell. It'd be nice if that could happen, so Bol Bowen can stay at the 4 and give us size.
Both will shoot 3s, so being able to play 5 out consistently will be fun to watch.

It’s kinda crazy that I felt the most confident in Sherrell shooting 3’s towards the end of last season than anyone else. I wished he’d have shot more. He hit 10 of his last 18 3FGs

I didn't know it was quite that good but that's great to hear. Though I'd still have to give that to title to Holloway. He's a legit sniper from 3. He was our only true three-point shooter that shot over 40% last year (sorry Mo, they were uncontested. And Trelly doesn't count due to the sample size)..
