Source: Kennesaw State transfer Adrian Wooley, one of the top guards in the portal, is down to four schools (in no particular order):

Louisville, Auburn, Alabama, Kansas

The 6-5 freshman from Tuscaloosa, AL averaged 18.8 points per game this season, shooting 42% from three.

I hadn't even seen the report that Hodgson was gone. Suprised a bigger school than USF didn't try to get him.

Obviously, Arkansas St wants to keep system continuity.

Oats is starting a pretty big coaching tree already.

We shouldn’t ever take a guard shorter than 6’2” or 6’3” again.

Yea, our system and talent can take us this far but size matters in the elite 8 and on.

Get bigger and better. Matchup better with Florida and Duke.

I know we all hoped to be back in the Final Four, but it was a great year anyway. We made it to just our 3rd Elite Eight ever.

This was a really fun team to watch. I wish we could have sent Mark and Grant off with a NC. But, we got closer than 300+ other teams.

I guess now it's time for the long wait until November.

This season showed we need bigger guards and tougher inside players. Those teams that beat us possessed those type players.

So is this going to be the offseason thread or is someone making a new one? Roster wise, we have four leaving as of now..Sears, Nelson, Cliff, and Youngblood. Three freshmen coming in. So technically only one roster spot available at the moment. Is that correct?

Philon is gone or at least he should be. Transfers will also happen.

My current guess is Aden, Mo, Reid, Wrightsell, Mallette and Sherrell are our returners. That would leave us with 4 spots for transfers.

I guess I'm the only one but I'll say it.

Bring Jarin Steveson back. Had a rough tournament but he was solid the year before.

I still believe in him. He's in line for more opportunity with Grant leaving.
Continuity with the team.

I don't want to run off players who've help take our program to the best it's ever been.

I would love to have Reid back but from what I’ve read on different groups, I think he’s gone.

True but it was a bit more by injury luck than design.

Mallette and Wrightsell -- who would have likely been our 2 better defensive guards -- were out for the year. And, Derrion Reid was injured most of the season.

On another note, people forget Jarin Stephenson just turned 19 years old at the start of the season, a year younger than Aiden Sherrell I believe. I definitely hope he stays.

Do we know where Reid is potentially looking at? It kinda sucks to bring in a highly touted guy, have them miss half the season, and portal out after collecting NiL.

I don’t really know who or why someone would pay more than what we’re paying based on the limited resume. And I don’t know why he’d be looking at a different fit when it’s wide open to be his show next year.

And Stevenson is two years younger than Mo D.

The speculation I’ve seen (and who knows if any is true) is that his family wasn’t happy with his PT when he was healthy and our staff felt like he was exaggerating his injuries and could’ve played through pain at different points this season.

It’s tough but these kids have people advising them that aren’t attached to reality sometimes. However, I have trouble figuring out how Stevenson was dominating the minutes at 3 when Reid was healthy and Youngblood wasn’t.
