Is Mikel Brown committing/signing early? I haven’t found much out there on him.

Made a pit stop en route to Mackey Arena.

Did we sign London Jemison? He committed, but I don't see that he has signed yet.

2025 RECRUITING TARGETS:
The list on the front page needs serious updating. It is not close to accurate. None of our fall signees were even listed as 2025 targets, and most listed there have not been Bama targets for months.

Chad doesn’t really post here anymore so it’s not going to be updated.

When did Zach Edey start shooting 3s?!?! Stats on ESPN show he’s 6-9 from 3 this season for 67%.

Hope Chad is ok. I appreciate the work he did.

He started working on it for the NBA draft.

That Purdue game was the craziest/best basketball environment I've ever been apart of.
- Their arena is very compact to seat as many people as it does. No real bad seats. Most everything is bleacher seating, though. Very Tennessee football like.
- Student section is split into two ends that includes 2 lower level sections (not including the pep band) and 7 upper level sections. Easily 1/3 of the arena are students. They're always doing some kind of cheer.
- The pep band is enormous, takes up an entire lower level section, includes only brass, and is just as loud (if not louder) than the arena sound system.
- Food prices are more reasonable than Coleman.
- Great fans, almost all were super friendly and knew basketball. A lot came up to us after the game and said they wouldn't want to see us again this season, especially on a neutral court.
Great trip, wish we could have gotten the W. Also, highly recommend the Hoosier Gym in Knightstown if you ever get the chance.

Sounded loud on tv. Seemed like a great atmosphere

I remember going to the 2009 game when Purdue came to Coleman and was kinda blown away at how many Purdue fans made the trip. There was a whole big section of them and they were LOUD.

Glad you enjoyed it other than the result

Yea, after our first missed shot it sounded like they had just made the game winning buzzer beater and it was pretty much that way for every made basket for them and every miss for us for the rest of the game. No denying, they impacted the game and I respect that. It sounded super loud on TV. Cool atmosphere you got to experience as a visitor.
I will be at the BHAM game tomorrow and really hoping our fans bring at least a casual attempt to provide the same welcome to Illinois. Birmingham crowds are usually pretty good, that said, I have been on hand for us losing 3 out of 4 Birmingham games.

Not really a huge deal but...
UNC Asheville (who Bama beat by over 50) won at North Florida last night. Generally that wouldn't be a big deal, but North Florida has won road games this year at South Carolina and Georgia Tech.
McNeese ended North Texas perfect record last night. Not a huge deal, but North Texas does a have a road win at Minnesota already on the resume.

Just checked Illinois' roster/stats. They've got some dudes who can shoot the ball, and good positional size.
Will Riley (freshman who were in the mix for) is 6'9" and shooting 70% from 3 so far.

I really wish they would have more of these games in Tuscaloosa. I understand the Birmingham/Huntsville/Mobile games when students are home for the holidays but we miss out on a great atmosphere that can make a difference in these games by having them in these places.

I don't love them either. The only real silver lining is playing in Birmingham counts as a neutral site game and has a little more value to the general computer rankings with a win. That aside, I would rather just play these games home and home.
