He'd get all that at Utah besides the NIL without direct involvement in Mormon bullshite. Mormonism is way too fricking weird for me to ever want anything to do with it. Nice people usually, but it's totally a cult.

They're hooking him up with his own solar system.

He's probably just soaking it all in. I'm sure he'll marinate on his decision for a while before making any kind of oral commitment.

This is one of the most talented rosters in college basketball in the last 10 years. Better than the last 2 championship teams from UCONN. They have shooting, size, shot blocking, lots of good guards and they are old and proven. Watch out.

Re: Dybantsa, we need to scrounge enough NIL from wherever to match BYU . Players of his caliber are very rare and their legacy value to the University can pay dividends for decades after departure.

Just insane by BYU. I would guess Oats has about $4M to spend on the roster and that’s probably top 25ish in the country. BYU is willing to spend all that on 1 fricking kid.

They have a super wealthy booster who owns the Jazz. I guess you can’t take it with you.

Unless I can convince them I am Joseph Smith reincarnate and that you can take it with you. Let me make some calls.

Does anybody remember who the first school(s) was in making the exhibition games with good matchups?

I know arkansas did with purdue last year and texas the year before. I don't remember a handful of schools doing it.

I know Alabama played TCU exhibition 2 years ago (Miller year) and got throttled. Think they played TCU again last year and Wake.

It's an interesting conversation, but who is the last one and done generational player to really make a team elite? I know this is probably a homer perspective, but Brandon Miller may have been the most impactful freshman individually since Kevin Durant. Miller was a top 5-10 guy coming out of high school, but not generational, at least from the standpoint of media opinion. Holmgren was very good, but that team was already loaded (and did get throttled by Bama in Seattle

In my lifetime the best freshman that truly carried teams to National titles were Carmelo Anthony and Anthony Davis.

Brandon Miller would have if he didn’t suffer a groin injury

Nobody's run was better than Carmelo's in the tourney except possibly Danny Manning. They had the least help. Both were amazing to watch.

Dybantsa is from Massachusetts. Grew up there and went to school there until leaving for basketball factory schools the last two years. He is closer to home at Bama than BYU.
