If true, what’s the over/under on Bama’s home game being an 11 am tip?

I'm sure Gameday has already agreed to be at Auburn for our matchup.

I'm glad to see our transfers going to good programs. Even better if they have great academics.

Tide Hoops History@BamaHistory
Today is the 87th birthday for former @AlabamaMBB icon Winfrey “Wimp” Sanderson, who is the winningest coach in school history with 267 victories and turned plaid into a fashion statement inside Coleman Coliseum.
Born Aug. 8, 1937, in Florence, @wimpsanderson1 played prep basketball at Coffee High School and later played and graduated from Florence State College.
After one season as the head coach at Carbon Hill High School, Sanderson became a graduate assistant at Alabama for Hayden Riley in 1960. A year later, Riley promoted Sanderson to a full-time assistant, and he would remain on staff through Riley and C.M. Newton before being named head coach in 1980.
During a historic 12-year run, Sanderson won five SEC Tournaments (1982, 1987, 1989, 1990, 1991) and played for the tournament championship nine times. He won the 1987 regular-season SEC championship with a 16-2 conference record and was named SEC Coach of the Year in 1987 and 1989.
From 1981 through 1992, the Crimson Tide made the NCAA Tournament 10 times and reached the Sweet Sixteen six times.
With his trademark scowl and eye-catching plaid sport coats, Sanderson transformed Memorial/Coleman Coliseum into a raucous environment that had students and fans turning out in droves to be inside the “Plaid Palace.” Today plaid is as synonymous with Alabama basketball as houndstooth is with @AlabamaFTBL.
Sanderson lives in Birmingham and is the co-host of “Inside the Locker Room” (@Lockerroom1009) with his son @Barrysanderson on @Tide1009 in Tuscaloosa from 7-9 a.m. each weekday morning.

I often forget Wimp was born in my hometown of Florence. Some things have changed since Wimp was around there. Coffee merged with another local high school Bradshaw (where I attended) to become Florence hs. Florence state is now North Alabama

They actually started calling it the "Wimp Sanderson Invitational"
It's so very nice to have not only returned but now exceeded the level of success Wimp brought to Bama basketball.

Interesting article re Jasper Johnson from a Tar Heel prospective
I sure as hell wasn't expecting this as the first paragraph....

Alabama may well be the outright frontrunner in the homestretch of Jasper Johnson's recruitment. But the UNC basketball staff's pursuit of the lifelong Tar Heel enthusiast from Kentucky has been unwavering.
They've got my attention.
