UA should renovate this like they did for the SCIB building on the Bryce campus...take the old insane people's building, gut it down to the frame, build something completely different inside, and put new facade on the exterior.

He is also from Jersey. His dad is a Jersey high school coaching legend.

And if it were the Hawks, i didn't think he'd consider it. But it's the Lakers and they're gonna offer him a metric frickton of money. And being the head coach of one of the elite NBA franchises definitely up and arrogant dude's alley.

Honestly, the facade is the only thing about Coleman that is decent.

This is the kind of stuff that makes a difference in getting talent to Tuscaloosa, not a new arena.

And the multi-national corporations are seeing their pathetic President losing ground.

Just another fuking scam.

Ah yes, team politics, the rallying cry of simpletons.

Let's discuss Bama basketball, a diversion and hobby of esteemed critical thinkers.

The Lakers are shite show that the coach doesn’t even run . Now take a Saban like basketball coach and put him there?? Would be a kamikaze mission. & that is not even considering the possibility of “everyone gets a trophy” bronny in the draft.

Join the lakers as the 4th coach since 2018, 8th since Phil Jackson retired in 2011 then. Co coach with LBJ.

Anyways, loved Oats quotes on the renovations though I still want a palace to watch them at home. Cool with gutting the place and redoing the entire inside if that’s what it takes.

However, Im ok as long as Coach is. I will keep watching this program anywhere and enjoy every minute.

No doubt they are. But there's definitely a level of prestige. Plus, LeGM is not far from retiring. If it doesn't work, the dude has $60-80 million and his choice of college jobs.

Plus they're probably going to pay him $15ish mil/year, and probably at least a 4 -5 year deal.

yeah i mean to a coach like hurley and any of the other top flight coaches with nba ambitions, obviously this would be very appealing. not to mention the massive bump in pay and quality of life.

very strange inability to separate what some of you think about the nba, lebron, the lakers, california, etc. from what ppl back here on planet earth think of those things.

no idea if hurley is going to take the job, just saying, very strange page or so of posts. college basketball is small potatoes compared to the nba.

Hurley is meeting with them Friday. Looks like he’s actually going to take it. I think he wants the challenge. His sets and player development are highly thought of. Only question I have is how he will relate to the players.

And plus he will have an offseason. No NIL. No portal. I mean a major college basketball or football coach is a 365 day a year job now. No breaks.

Hopefully it’s a few more years before Oats starts getting NBA calls

I know the NBA and especially the Lakers have next level prestige. No doubt about that.

Interested to see if he would change how he operates. He is meticulous and if he can get everyone to buy in he can be successful.

Thoughts on replacements? Sweaty Bruce would be a great fit just to see tMelt.

I’m not taking the job if I’m Hurley unless I’m guaranteed 5 years after LeBron retires. Because as long as LeBron is there Hurleys style won’t work mainly because LeBron is 40 plus he has always thought he was above his coach so he won’t put up with Hurleys hard arse coaching. Once he leaves Hurley can start running the team like he wants.

California is not the place to be, especially if you are rich. The taxes and the quality of life dont add up. Lots of places have nice weather. I think everyone understands what it means to coach the lakers. But big time coaches dont want to coach Lebron. This is not new stuff and it isnt the strange opinion of the bama board. What the hell are you talking about?

Once you're making a certain amount the taxes don't really matter. $15m/yr in California is fantastic, especially when you consider it's to coach arguably the most high profile basketball franchise in the world.
