Bama wins 74-62 and will play UT tomorrow night. Beat them once, maybe we can do it again?

I haven’t seen WBB play a complete game like this all year (admittedly I haven’t watched all the games). They took care of the ball (for the most part), took advantage of what Georgia gave them and made some timely 3’s. Built a nice lead and responded every time Georgia made a run. It’s been a tough year for the players - happy to see them having some post season success.
I didn’t pay attention to what I clicked in the ESPN app but the broadcast I got was just the game. No announcers. No commentary. No mindless banter. And I loved it.

Like are the women even on the bubble or they in Must Win conference tournament Status

They would have to win the tournament I’m thinking. 17-10 (7-10) with the win tonight. More likely playing for the NIT unless the miracle run continues.

Not to defend Curry but she really has done a remarkable job to at least make us respectable. Wendell Hudson left her the worst program in the SEC and she has at least made us respectable.
We are now Next 4 out.

She has basically been, at worst, an upgraded Shula. She took what was one of the 2-3 worst programs in the Power 5 and made it consistently respectable and competitive again.

Yep. We are competitive again . Just need to take that next step up in a tough league

The women are stuck in the rut between the bad teams and the good ones. They're good enough to pull off 2-3 upsets against the 9 teams in the SEC who are better than them, but those teams make up like 2/3 of the conference schedule. That's a tough spot to be in. Especially in a sport like women's basketball where the gap between 1 and 25 is as big as the gap between 25 and 250. Kinda seems like the baseball program in in a similar spot. We missed the boat in both sports IMO. Started to pour resources into them a few years too late and now they're trying to climb out of the basement in a stacked league.

This take will probably age like milk, but I would be OK with that. They're the stereotypical experienced, well coached mid-major full of white kids who never miss open shots that'll torch the frick out of our joke of a defense, but in our first matchup they had absolutely no means of slowing us down and I doubt they have gotten bigger or more athletic since November.

During the game last night they said if we beat Georgia we would move up to next four out. I assume beating Tennessee would put them as first four out but i'm not totally sure.

Pretty sure you must have clicked the "above the rim" broadcast. I saw a few minutes of it too.

the ESPN Matchup Predictor gives us a 16.8% chance tomorrow
I mean I know times have been tough but our chances have to be higher than that.

On 2/19, the Committee stated the teams they were evaluating for the final four-seed slot were Texas (who got it that day), Alabama, OSU, and Houston.
Since then, Texas is 2-2, Alabama is 2-2, OSU is 3-3, and Houston is 5-0.
Average MoV for the Cougars in those games: 17.2.
