This team is going to suffer an embarrassing first round loss in the NCAA tourney to some mediocre big 12/PAC 12 school in the 5 vs 12 game. Hopefully I’m wrong, but I’m not.

Bamafan….do you think Gary&Miles come back or will Oats process them and hit the portal for replacements?
Posted on 3/3/22 at 1:50 pm to mistaken4193
I think Miles will be back. He has good potential. Gary on the other hand has gotten worse, can’t shoot, and seems to have hit his ceiling. I could see him leaving. I love Gary but there’s gotta be some better fits in the portal that could replace him.

I have to say I was shocked that our mirror image team from 8 years ago lost in the 1st round to a #12 seed from the Summit League in heartbreaking fashion!
Hey, good news, maybe the committee won't pair us with this year's likely #12 seed from the Summit League since we already played in the regular season!

Not a great plan to poke a stick in the eye of your banker (those that will come up with 183 million)

Something we didn’t point out about last night game was Keon picking up 3 fouls with 8mins left In The 1st half. So we couldn’t put him on Jackson and he COOKED JD and JQ. COOKED them.
Whenever we play these quick Guards if Keon gets in foul trouble we are fricked

There is no way you get matched with them, when is the last time the committee did a rematch in the first round? They seem to even avoid them at all cost in the 2nd round as well.

Jackson got in the lane anytime he wanted too. He put on a offensive clinic against us.

That was good question you asked concerning Miles & Gary.
I think both of them will have to improve in some way moving forward in order to be here next season...I think Miles will stay as well but Gary has gone away from his bread and butter which is being the clean up man.
What are your thoughts on it mistaken?

quote:That’s the main issue I have with him rn. He’s never been a great shooter, but he would always play hard on both sides and do the dirty work which made up for it in a way. Fast forward to now…he still plays hard but nowhere near what we used to get from him…and he still can’t shoot. Combine all that with his ability to somehow miss an open dunk/tip-in once a game and I honestly would rather Oats find a shooter to replace him

Gary is a great role player that does all the dirty blue collar stuff but when he is asked to be a primary player he ain’t that good.

This season he's hung around the perimeter a little too much for me. I think he can still improve his game a lot. I wouldn't mind having Justin Powell from Tennessee shoot I think he would be perfect for our offense.

Auburn to Tennessee to Alabama would be quite the redemption story.

Same type position as the game against them in Athens. Hopefully we finish this one.
