A 4 seed is ideal.
We need as few games to get to the championship as possible, regardless of opponents.
We've proved we can beat the best and lose to the worst, so the less the games, the less chance of weirdness.

USA Today just updated their bracket, absolutely brutal in the Midwest.

An Ala/Aub Sweet 16 game would stress me 100x more than an Iron Bowl. I can't even handle thinking about it.

Considering we don't match up well with them at all this season, it would probably be excruciating to watch.

Imagine how awesome winning that game would be though.

True. They haven't been playing all that well after our game at their place to be honest.

No doubt I would celebrate that win more than the Iron Bowl. The amount of new Auburn basketball fans that I've had to interact with when going out to watch a Bama game in Huntsville is at a laughable level now.

Auburn is trending down away from Neville.

They better show up in the SECt or it could be ugly in the NCAAT for them

Auburn has way too much talent to stay in this slump much longer. I haven’t been able to watch them much to see what the problem is, but I can’t imagine it festering through the tournament.

Unfortunately, we just don't match up very well with UK and AU this year,

True. Bediako is getting better every game, but he is just not strong enough to match up with Kessler and Tshiebwe. Oats says he doesn't want back to the basket big men, but he may learn after getting dominated inside by some SEC teams that it helps to have a tough big man. Maybe Pringle coming in and a stronger Bediako will improve our inside game next year.

Speaking of big men, thank god Vandy went away from their big man late in the game last night. He was scoring at will. Nothing we could do. If we hate that guy, goodness.

The latest ESPN+ NBA mock has JD going to 27th to the Heat and Keon going 49th to the Pelicans.

Keon to Pelicans would be awesome! And he likely would play for the Squadron here in Birmingham.

That Bracket is just one big arse revenge tour.

Michigan: For stealing our 1 seed last year when we earned it.

UCLA: For the Sweet 16 and for Pettys shorts

Auburn: Because frick them

Purdue: for beating us the night Mark Ingram won the Heisman….or Colorado State for pussying out of our game and causing us to schedule Davidson and lose.

frick Yeah, Lets Do this

Don't we match up better with Tenn than Ark/Aub/Ken?

I think so because our weakest spot is inside, and Fulkerson is easier for us to handle than Williams, Kessler, and Tshiebwe.

Sorry. I didn't clarify, but I meant the NCAAT.

Bediako just cannot rebound. Vandy was doing to JD like I figured teams would do. They tried to force him to dribble to his left, with his left hand. JD sometimes would try to get by his defender quickly on his left and cross back over to the right side of the paint. But that is where he got in trouble a lot. He cannot shoot, put the ball up on the left side and has trouble with his ball handling on that side too. His problems come when their defense is set, and he is at the point with the ball, and their defender takes away his right and forces him to his left side.

I'm not arguing your Bediako rebounding stance but...

the rebound with 2:30 minutes left and 2 made free throws were enormous last night.
