The fact that Gurley hasn’t been productive has hurt us. JQ has basically quit. He just doesn’t care

I think if we went back to preseason discussion on this thread the keys to a good year were

- JQ be an all-conference/all-american level player
- JD be an explosive athlete/scorer in spurts
- Shack would be the same guy he was last year
- Keon take the next step on offense with more usage and shots

None of those things have happened other than Shack. JQ's difference is the biggest, but the other 2 have also been big issues. I think we all thought Gurley would be a bit more productive, but even there that's on the margins. On, obviously, the defensive drop off was much more than many of us expected. As is the leadership.

All in all, I think if you set a ceiling and a floor for this team back in October, we'd be sitting at the floor right now.

Oats has shown in the past he is will to do that. Remember when he suspended Petty and someone else last year?

I find it hard to believe he wouldn't take the same course of action if there were similar problems on this team.

I mean we are looking at being 13-10 after the next three games … even though we have some quality wins , do you see this team even making the NCAAT?

Jerry Meyer also said that Holt has elite shooting potential and there are 7 guys at the birmingham YMCA with better form every Saturday

We won’t lose all 3. We’ll probably win one of the home games against either Baylor or Kentucky. Y’all know how this team is. They’ll show up against the ranked teams.

It's a much bigger and harder to solve issue when the problem is team wide and not individual issues. Petty was an individual issue. This is clearly much more than that.

Maybe he's just a great mid-range shooter!

Not unless we win the SEC tourney.

It's just really hard for me to do the "look into the future" thing at this point.

Honestly, it's hard to even care about what happens in the next 3. Say we win 1 or even 2 of them........then what? That doesn't tell us anything. I mean, winning is good, but it doesn't tell me a damn thing about this team other than it just pisses me off more about their previous performances.

Ok Y’all…hear me out.

This group has A LOT of similarities to our Elite 8 team.(other than that team shot the 3 very well)

Very very Tough schedule. (I think both were #1)

That group started strong with a Big OOC win(Wisconsin) and then struggled the rest of the season. Just like this season

Had a Massive Win in Seattle. Just like this season

WE ARE GOING TO THE ELITE 8 BOYS

Time to stop considering those previous performances as normal play. What you see now s what is normal.

Team peaked before the warmup band left the stage.

I just don’t see who would draft JD 20th. He isn’t even as good as Sharife Cooper and Sharife almost went Undrafted last year
