Barring injuries, this team will be fun to watch all year. When the threes are falling they will be hard to beat for anyone. The thing that I like is that we look so much more athletic this year and won’t have to rely solely on the deep ball.

- Almost nothing felt forced on offense
- Defense was just all switching with no negative effects
- Athletes everywhere

Oats has no issues throwing out JQ, JD, Shack, Ellis, and a random 5.
If we can play team defense like that, I feel completely confident in our ability to guard when we go small.

Shouldn’t we be melting about something? Feels weird… Where’s that dude that would flip out on how stupid Herb was multiple times per night?

Not gonna lie, this is a lot more polished than I expected us to look in game one.

Biggest thing I've noticed is something I haven't noticed......I haven't once been like "who is on the floor?".
I've said that a shitload of times tonight. They all have the same hair. I forgot numbers, and it was fricking with me for a bit.

It was good to see Keon and Miles both look more ready to regularly contribute.
Gurley really struggled on offense, but I’m guessing he was just a bit too hyped up. We scored 48 in the first half and got literally nothing from him.

Davidson is the real deal and Bama looks very polished and playing together (crisp passes, etc.) well already.

Davison has been really under control too.
Impressive.
Impressive.

JD 1/3 on FT's and we gave up 9 offensive rebounds.

Big ups for Shack. Looks like a more comfortable ball handler. He got stripped once. But I've seen some great passes from him, including the assist to JD for 3.

The ball movement to set up some of these shots has been something to watch.

I have very little complaints at half time and just wanted to say this team is fun as hell to watch.

Was thinking the same. He showed quite a bit of poise a few different times by resetting the offense when the shot clock was down to 10-12 seconds when I would've expected him to just rely on his athleticism and just try to force a drive to the hole.

A lot of fun considering La. Tech is the best bball team in Conference USA.

Said it to my uncles tonight, the Coach K slobfest is going to be unbearable this season.
Someone should start a Coach K counter for our games. You know ESPN is going to crowbar it in every chance they can.
