See, when I tell you motherfrickers Iona was not a bad loss, y'all had best listen.

Man I ate so many downvotes for that shite.

I'm never gonna get mad because we lost to a Pitino team.

BTW, we have some pretty fricking cool auburn fans on the basketball thread. Yeah, I'm drunk. But it's the damn truth.

Guards Lead the Way For Alabama Basketball Against Gonzaga (SI)

Jaden Shackelford, Jahvon Quinerly, and JD Davison post double-digits in scoring as the Tide topples the Bulldogs.

My brother hasn't been watching and I've been talking up JD. Saying he could be a Sexton caliber player for us by end of year.

He watched tonight game and immediately said Bama looks like the better team not knowing some of the new players. He was impressed with JD.

He usually only starts watching around conference play so forgive him.

That's fricking awesome.

I've said it several times tonight... Besides days with actual national titles won... This has been the best days for Alabama sports. Winning an SEC championship and a game vs an elite basketball team, big underdogs in both, in enemy territory for both. De facto road games. And they straight up fricking cornholing them. Both fan bases are gonna remember those arse whippings.

I thought for sure that we would fold once Gonzaga cut into our lead after what has to be one of the most one-sided stretches of officiating I've seen. Despite all the pressure and home-cooking, we responded after every run. Shack was impressive, but JD is starting to show why I think he could be a top 5 pick next year.

Last night when They were talking to that NBA guy for like 5 minutes I realized they didn’t mention Shack once. His dads ego must have been severely bruised

I think he's closer to Sexton than Kira was. And that's not a knock on Kira.

I love ya Ben and I love that we have locked in since it but Iona was still a bad loss. They happen, it's basketball, but it was a bad loss. We let them dictate the tempo of the game and missed like 17 free throws.

If he shoots like he did last night...or at least well enough to make them respect it and play him honest, then yeah he will be just as good as Colin.

Colin doesn’t get enough credit, he carried a bad team to the Round of 32

Our response after they cut it to 4 was some of the most un-Alabama basketball stuff I've ever seen.

Last night was proof this can be a Final Four team. Hell it can be a team that wins it all. Made 13 threes and were pretty good from the foul line. If we shoot well and make our free throws we will be very very tough to beat. Hopefully the Iona game keeps us humble. It was a bad, bad loss but maybe we needed it. Maybe it was our WKU game this year

Timme plays post like a fullback and gets all the calls. They could do anything and we couldn't breathe on them.

I'm guessing we never see Tchikou ,with all those fouls if there ever was a time last night was it.

As I was sitting here thinking what to post all last night and this morning shoot I decided to give credit where credit is due because I believe these two individuals made a deal with the GOOD MAN to bring one of the most exciting moments in school history to Alabama.

THANK YOU...FLUFF & CECIL

He hooks any time he posts up and moves toward the basket, and he flails his arms every time he's trying to get in position and facing some resistance. Dude is a complete bitch of a player.

If it hasn’t been mentioned, Shack also led the team in rebounds last night
