Agreed. He's a freshman coming into a very crowded backcourt, he'll get more comfortable as the season progresses.

Usually with freshmen you see them have trouble taking it to the rim bc the post players are bigger and stronger than they are accustomed to playing against. Most freshmen are used to getting easy buckets at the rim and they have to learn to finish strong. I haven't seen that be a problem at all for JD. He's got that Collin Sexton gear of "im getting to the rim and nobody can stop me" when he wants to use it.

We play:

1. Gonzaga
4. Kansas (likely)
6. Baylor
9. Memphis
12. Houston

And that’s just OOC.

Colorado State received 30 votes
I would not be surprised to see La Tech and South Dakota State in the top 25 at some point this season as well.

SEC play will involve multiple top 25 opponents such as Kentucky, Arkansas, Auburn, Tennessee, Florida, and LSU.

Mississippi State is getting some votes as well.

Oakland up 10 on Vermont at the half. Vermont is #94 in KenPom.

The Cain kid already has a double double - 12 pts/10 rebounds.

Early Season RPI is one of life's simple pleasures. Bama beats Oakland by 37? We'll put Oakland at 7 and Bama at 8

Regarding JD's performance, he may simply be doing what coach asks of him as he matures at the college level.

Oakland was down 1, makes a 3 pointer with 11 seconds left to take a 2 point lead then gets a stop on the other end to win 63-61.

If they stay healthy, UH is going to do damage this year. They were hardly talked about because of their abysmal region, but their Final 4 was no fluke and I wouldn’t be surprised if they make it back. Not sure why they weren’t ranked higher to start the year.
