While Bradley is my favorite of the bunch, I think Miller is the safest bet to start given his position and our outlook next year at the point. At this point, I'd guess one of JQ or JD is back, so I'd imagine one of them will start over Bradley. Miller has to simply beat out one of Miles and Burnett. Even then he could start with one of him or Miles playing the 4 (I personally hope to see more of Miles at the 4 this year.)

I'd be down with a JQ/JD, Burnett, Miller, Miles, Bediako starting lineup next year. Gary would probably be a great 6th man and everyone else competes for the last 2-3 spots in the regular rotation. Should be a lot of competition for minutes this summer.

McDonald’s AA roster was announced.

Brandon Miller and Jaden Bradley both made it.

Trying to look at numbers for next year…

Leaving:
James Rojas
Keon Ellis
Noah Gurley

Probably Leaving:
Jaden Shackelford
Jahvon Quinerly
Alex Tchikou

Possibly Leaving:
JD Davison
Jusuan Holt
Keon-Ambrose Hilton

Returning/Incoming:
Nimari Burnett
Juwan Gary
Charles Bediako
Darius Miles
Jaden Bradley
Brandon Miller
Rylan Griffen
Noah Clowney
Nick Pringle

4 spots to be filled through portal or JD/JQ/Holt returning.

I think it’s more likely JQ comes back for his last year than JD staying, but I really hope at least one of them returns.

Honestly, I love Gary at the 5 and hope we see it more this year. I feel like he was our best 5 last year at the end of the year, and he makes us incredibly switchable on defense.

And there was a point when we were said to be the favorite for Jarace Walker which would have been 3.

The problem is, he's 6'6". That'll work against mid majors, not so well against teams with size.

He was our center down the stretch of last season, and was definitely our best option there. It's not all about size. Switchability is a huge factor in team defense. With Gary at the 5 and Miles at the 4, we could switch just about everything. It may not work well against everyone, but him at the 5 will and has worked well against most high-major teams.

Yes. No doubt having Miles in the middle with four other guards is what won us the home Missouri game. Oats said in post game, "switching" won the game. From what I have heard, exactly what you said is the problem with our bigs. They do not know where to be on defense or are too slow to get there. Very often last year we played Herb inside on defense (and then point on offense) for the same strategy. Good point!

I’d be fine with a couple folks not returning at this point, sorry.
