He’s absolutely wrong. Starters transfer out at almost the same regularity as reserves.
There’s no such thing as developmental guys anymore. Even players like Davin Cosby ain’t sticking around, but in his time he provided depth, had a couple of decent games, and I’m sure provided much better quality at practice than some walk-on.

I have to think he’s using this in his recruiting pitch. Come to Bama, play the closest thing to an NBA schedule that CBB has to offer, while playing in an NBA system. Pretty strong way to say Bama prepares kids for the NBA.

It would be nice to draw Notre Dame or SDSU. Outside of Rutgers - Bama has played ever team in the field within the last few years.

Rutgers has to be an opponent because of Cliff. Makes too much sense. Plus they should be pretty dang good this year with their two freshmen studs.

I love it. We've got a nice little rivalry with Houston. Creighton and SDSU are on our shite list.
We can win that thing. But would it be the smartest idea to toss those guys a big bag early in the season? Do they get the money right away while still in Vegas? How does this crazy shite work?

12 and 13, sure. I get that. 11 is nice for depth. We've had seasons where injuries hurt us badly, and that extra player would be nice to have. 10 at a bare minimum. Only 8 or 9? You're setting yourself up for disaster.
