Nolan Traore is really great. I don't know if he'll come to college, but he's a high ceiling prospect.

That'd be incredible. He's absurdly quick. Trent Perry would also be a monster land.

It also looks like Zoom Diallo might decommit from Washington, since they fired their coach. He seemed like he was only looking at West Coast schools at the very end. But we might be looking pretty appealing again with our recent success.

Colby Rogers listed us as one of a few schools doing a zoom with him next week. He is another 6’5 guy that shot over 40% from 3. Not sure if he was a backup plan for Youngblood or if we will still pursue him.

We were one of the few schools he visited. I would think that he would go to Gonzaga tho.

I doubt Rogers is a back up plan. With Mallette and Youngblood, we have replaced Estrada and Griffin, but there is a good chance Sears goes pro, and Cosby is in the portal. Clearly Oats wants some bigger guards. Plus, he dang sure doesn't want to be left high and dry in June like he was when Bediako and JQ unexpectedly jumped ship late.

Yep, that's where I'd put my money. Arizona might also be tough to beat out.

I agree we need some length at guard. I also hope at least one of them can play above the rim. Someone to make tough shots around the rim.

Any paysite or Trilly nuggets for the week ahead for recruiting? I would’ve thought more visits would’ve leaked at some point today.

Have fun not making the tournament. Beale Street is cool though.

6'11 240 senior from Rutgers. Averaged nearly 14 and 10, had 72 blocks last season.

Sounds good to me.

I hope he at least visits. If he visits I think the staff can lock him up. 90% sure he will unless something changes. Hopefully no one swoops in last minute and offers him a million dollars like Indiana supposedly did with Ballo.

He's probably the best realistic add we could make at this point. Would be a complete game changer defensively.

I'd love to see us add Big Z because I think he'd be an unreal two-way fit for us and was criminally underused by Cal, but I suspect he'll follow Cal despite that.

Is Kel'el Ware going pro? I assume he likely will, but haven't seen any announcement on that yet. Surely he is if Indiana is taking Ballo.

Looking at his scout film, and seeing how bad his 2 fg% and rim %, I thought he sounded like a bad fit.

Here's from a Wichita State fan on Reddit...

quote:

Kind of surprised he went to Memphis.

Fantastic post-up 3-pt shooter, but bad at creating shots on his own.

Bad at finishing around the basket. Defense is suspect.

I always thought he would be best if he were the 2nd or 3rd best player on the offense. When other teams focused on him, he didn't do so hot. That said, he finished the season on a tear and, as another poster said, taunted Memphis after the win.

Perfect player for Penny.
