Fun fact: in 8 years of being a college HC Oats has won some form of conference title 5 times. Did it 3 out of 4 years at Buffalo and now 2 of 4 at Alabama.
Hopefully we get a deep tournament run to go along with it this year, but with a single elimination basketball tournament being so prone to randomness all you can really ask for, in the short term at least, is getting there with a competitive seeding on a regular basis. Long term you have to show an ability to advance, but if you're regularly a 5 seed or better you're eventually going to go on a few runs.

Miami is a team that I think can be very dangerous in the tournament. Good size, very athletic and fast. They run the floor extremely well. They play very solid on defense.
Canes lost this weekend to fsu, but If they hit their stride in the tournament, look out.

thanks. I had a few hour drive to a project this afternoon, and it was nice killing an hour listening about Bama basketball and only actual basketball.

between one of my best friends being in Iowa fan, and knowing their pace, I would really love to see that matchup. seeing somebody try to run with us would be awesome.

I get why you are saying this, but I would actually love to face them again. There are only 2 SEC teams that we have a losing record against. We aren’t catching KY in my lifetime, but we’re only 3 back of Arky according to Wikipedia. Would love to have a shot to knock that down to 2 with possibly our best ever team, and even if we lose it’s not a huge deal. Rest up, learn from it, and immediately start practicing shooting at Legacy Arena with the specific ball that’s going to be used!
