Not necessarily.
We don't hedge hard enough to take away passing lanes matter of fact the only post player who hedges properly is Gurley which is understandable. We run a drop coverage and that will get us KILLED that's the reason they got off to such a good start.

Welp what initially was a seemingly insignificant non conference game win or lose turned into a hugely concerning loss that raises serious questions about how far this team can actually go this year. I truly don’t see any positives or teachable moments to take away from this loss. It was an arse kicking for the ages.

We have to treat this game like a regular season baseball game. Just some nights aren't yours, even though you can be a World Series contender.
But, I just hope this isn't a harbinger of what may come later on in February/ March.
I don't need to remind yall how we finished last year.

It maybe but how inefficient is it for your 6’10 power forward to go 0-20 from deep over four games. Now tell me about mid range again

Embarrassing loss. Out coached, out played, out toughed, out hustled. They should throw the hard hat in the trash after that one.
What was the game plan on offense? To have whoever has the ball dribble for 15 seconds then drive and shoot? Idk what we were doing today.
I hope this was a wake up call because when we play our best we can blow anyone out, when we play like this anyone can blow us out.

I lay all of this at the FEET of Nate Oats this time simply because of his LOVE for BEDIAKO. He's been an issue the past couple of games and the reporters should ask him why hasn't Pringle gotten more minutes.

Losing by 24 is pathetic. Hope it wakes this team up.

Well bro, looks like I was wrong about that second-half comeback.

That's a FACT! They won't have another shooting performance like that all season especially from 3!

Congratulations on not being a window licking fricktard like 90% of the people who have posted in this thread over the last couple of hours. We played like arse against a mediocre OU team in Norman a couple of years ago too. It happens. UConn kicked our asses too. Basketball is not like football. Losing a game here and there isn't some negative referendum on the entire season.

It was a shameful performance start to finish. Was hoping they would make it close in the second half. There were seeds of a game like this coming in the first half of the msu game and it all came together in a very bad way this afternoon. Let’s hope the response vs Vandy is strong.

We gotta bring in a More versatile and stronger Big Man who won’t get bitched out 9 out of every 10 games. We gotta move on from Bwdiako after this season

Rebounds were 36-35 Okie. Turnovers were dead even at 13. Difference in the game was 60% from the field and 75% from 3 for them. The odds of our opponents sustaining that kind of production are slim. Sometimes you just run into a team who can't miss that day. It's basketball. It happens.

Yep, lots of basketball left. It’s clear that we need to work on some things. Better we do it now than in March.
On to the next one.

I'm calm!
We missed a ton of open looks from two and three.

We got him but every little mistake he makes...Nate Oats pulls him.

Alabama can't take a punch.
From the onset it was apparent that #35 and the other bigs were going to make it physical. The picks they set, and the pushing and elbowing they were doing made it obvious that they were gonna make it a street fight. Alabama didn't respond and let themselves get shoved all over the floor, giving Oklahoma the opportunity to gain the momentum...which they never relinquished.
You can bet your arse we'll see other teams using that ploy (especially on the road), and unless Oats can instill some piss'n vinegar(a.k.a. guts!) in them there'll be more of the same.

Yeah, a stronger big man would have stopped all those 3's from going in.
Dude I'm not even a basketball guy and even I know you need your center to anchor your defense and if your center is a turnstile it unsettles your set up, makes you chase or double to protect against his weaknesses which opens up open shot opportunities.
How do you think we ran over Kentucky?
