I think Bediako has to be higher. Also think Burnett is so good as a wing defender that he’s a bit higher

Sears I like and I’m really glad he’s back home, but man he is boom or bust to watch lol. I drift between cussing and praising him about 8 times a game.

In my opinion, he’s a better version of JQ. He can shoot, drive to the rim, and rebounds great, but gets loose with the ball at times, and occasionally hero balls.

outside of Clowney and Miller do we have anyone else that is one and done

We have other future NBA guys, but not one and done. Clowney isn't guaranteed, but is looking like a good possibility. Bradley is looking like a first rounder in the future, but not quite yet. But he noticeably gets better with each game. One more year he could definitely be first round. The rest are probably at least two years away.

Also, I may have missed it but has there been any update on Miles and what he is dealing with? Is he expected back at all this season?

Bringing this up again as it probably got lost during the game. Any update on Miles?

I don’t think there will be updates on him since it’s a mental health break. I think when he’s good he’ll just show back up.

Hmmm..
Can't say i agree. Considering he's replacing Shack, I've been singing his praises all season as better then advertised.

Sears did a lot of good things in the first half before he started scoring, got some big rebounds.

The “hero ball” sentiment above is a lot of what I’m talking about. There will be times when I shout “we can get that shot any time. Why are you shooting it, guarded, with 26 seconds left on the clock”

But he’s also been really great in spots. This isn’t me being overly critical. I like him a lot. I think I just like JQ more as a main facilitator and Sears as a microwave guy.

But however we win I don’t care

I don't think so. They are both small guards but I think their game is pretty contrasted. JQ has an incredible handle, even to his detriment. He dribbles too much a lot of times but that comes from his extreme confidence in his handle. Sears doesn't have that same level of handle. His confidence comes from his shot making. I think he's a better pure shooter than JQ. I think he prefers to be a shooter whereas JQ wants to be a PG on the And1 mixtape.

Yep. I also think JQ is more finesse, where Sears plays very physical for a dude his size. If he had a little more height, he might be a first round prospect. But what he's already shown makes it look like he could be very successful overseas.

If he can develop his handle more, I think he’ll play in the NBA.

I dunno about that one. He is really missing the athleticism needed for that level. He's an excellent player, and he's getting the most out of his body. But he doesn't have the speed, quickness, or hops to be effective at the next level at his height.

edit: I say that as someone who has experience playing against elite level guys, including a McDonald's All-American, a former D1 and borderline pro player, and a top 150 recruit from the 2004 class. They all kicked my arse, fwiw. Because I was the Mark Sears of my high-school. Good shooter with good body control at the rim, but lacked speed, short area quickness, and hops.

Do we want Auburn or Arkansas to win tonight?

Probably should root for Auburn , but that's not programmed into my system.

He has enough. Elite shooting is a very valuable skill.

Just look at Jalen Brunson. Very similar playstyle to Sears (better obviously)

Aub's schedule after tonight is pretty easy for a bit

@OM
MSU
@LSU
@SCar
A&M
@WVa
UGa

not exactly murderer's row

and props to JQ for hanging in there, great game today. He seems to really be leading out there even when on the bench. That's not easy for someone used to playing all the time the past few seasons. Rtr

Woo Pig. frick Auburn, and I don't want to go to Fayetteville and play an Arkansas team with its back against the wall.

Alabama might end up having to beat UT on the road to win the SEC. These two teams look like they are going to be neck and neck. Unfortunate the one head to head against them is on the road.
