Rough morning at your house? Feels a little harsh for a person just giving their take on the game.

Pretty shitty takes. We are deep and Bradley is good. Wow. And a bunch of negative shite. Stunning analysis.

Why do in-depth analysis when a short one with 2 growth areas is enough to rustle your delicate jimmies?

Shoot, I’m trying to go Saturday too man. My partner backed out but I don’t care I’m getting in one way or another. This team is a damn squad. Good bless Nate Oats.

Up to #5 in NET.

Somehow still behind UTk despite having 2 road wins to their 0 road games played, twice as many Q1/2 wins, and a significantly better SOS.

Tennessee's only loss is to Colorado.

Alabama hasn't played Colorado.

Hurr-durr, what a big jimmy rustler you are. I just think if you are gonna criticize two of our best players after a huge win then you should have some substance to it. I think you have a shitty take about Miller being too passive when Houston's game plan was to take him away. And I disagree with you and several others who want JQ benched.

But you're spot on with your hot take that this team has depth. Great call.

Miller has looked like god’s gift to basketball against our mid major opponents and average against the high major defenders. We’ve got to do a better job of scheming him open from 3 because he just doesn’t seem elite driving to the rim and being able to finish.

Good morning, hate I wasn't on the board during the game yesterday. Absolute thrilling win. Just a few notes:

- JQ and Gurley need less playing time. JQ turning the ball over and his weak defense is getting more difficult to hide. I thought the Sears/Bradley combo was way better and was also the pairing during the comeback. Gurley...no comment.

- It was great seeing the freshmen grow up during the game. Bradley had some huge drives on offense and worked his butt off on defense. He's going to continue to improve. Clowney finding his jump shot over the past week has been a pleasant sight, he was also aggressive on the boards. Griffen! Came in and played great outside of that early turnover that wasn't really his fault. I love the attitude he plays with and should get more playing time. Miller didn't hit a FG but made 8 straight free throws down the stretch and made up for his offensive woes on the other side of the court.

- I admit I thought the game was over but this team has some fight. The next two games are going to be huge but with the depth and talent of this team, both are extremely winnable which says a lot about where Oats has this program.

- Oats finally got his handshake.

Nimari Burnett was a beast today. His defense was suffocating. On offense he just needs to go stand in the corner and wait for the 3 ball. He's money from that spot. He can make some money in the NBA with that skillset too.

He's a 3+D guy who will shut you down defensively and then pop the corner 3 on the other end. We really missed him last season.

It's nice to know going into a game that 1 or 2 guys don't have to be on, or points are gonna be hard to find! With this depth and talent, a bad game should be an extreme rarity.

It has to be a factor of "expectations" from the outset of the season thay play a role. Just has to be. Otherwise, there isn't a point to polls/ ranking this early in the season.

Full-Court Press: Takeaways From Alabama Basketball at Houston (SI)
quote:

No sugarcoating it, this was one of the biggest games in Alabama basketball history.

The game was on ABC. Jay Bilas on the call. Alabama's first top-10 matchup since 2002. The second time ever that a team has beaten two No. 1-ranked teams in the same regular season.

Not to mention the huge names that were in attendance. Hakeem Olajuwan, Andre Johnson, Jalen Green, Jabari Smith.

This game was huge, it was important, and Alabama made a statement to the college basketball world.

The game was absolutely crazy...

Yes, it was almost like a National Championship type of atmosphere with all those big name celebrities there.

People need to realize that this team literally had FRESHMAN & NEWCOMERS playing to WIN on the road versus the NUMBER 1 RANKED TEAM IN THE COUNTRY who's one of the most EXPERIENCED teams in the country as well.

THAT'S CRAZY!! You don't normally see that unless you have a truly special team.

Get Out And Support Them!

And I just think it's absolutely silly to get this bent out of shape over a comment about Miller needing to stay aggressive and JQ needing more time to knock the rust off. These aren't the insults you're making them out to be.

I thought Houston took way too many mid-range jumpers, sort of giving us break and not taking it to the hole.

As much as we bitch about our philosophy on occasion, that's why. Mid range jumpers are hard to make too.

Great great win. Can't wait for Tuesday. World Cup semi and a top 25 matchup at home. Yes sir.
