we are not watching the same game. UCONN is 100% the better team right now. The question is, will they be at the end of the year. We need some games like this to teach the kids how to play.
This one got away from us. That happens sometimes. Bill knows that, he just said it. He knows we are good enough to beat UCONN. But its obvious who the better team is right now.

I disagree. They've been a step ahead of us all night long. Defense played a good game and I'm really pleased with the rebounding on D, but we've simply got to score more points than this. We haven't had a good look all night long

Other than 2 4+ minute meltdowns, one in each half, we didn't play that badly.
But, obviously I'm just looking for any positives.

Uconn played great, on to the next one. 25 regular season games left. Beating UNC and winning the Iron Bowl tomorrow would make me feel a lot better.

Rough game.
How many fricking free throws did UConn make. Felt like half their points.
UConn also has some pretty good shite talkers. That was a chippy game for early season non-conference.
Hopefully this young team will learn from this and be better for it. I think they will.

We only had 12 3 point attempts until garbage time at the end. They tells me their defense controlled us

I think a tough early season loss can be the best thing to happen to a young team. Hopefully this lights a fire under the guys and they go out and dominate UNC Sunday.

In 2nd half w/tie score Bama had several opportunities to hit a basket, get the lead and change the flow of the game - missed every shot or turned it over - might have still lost but would like to have seen how UCONN responded under pressure - and in the grand scheme of the season, Bama is a tournament team and the SEC season/tournament will determine seeding.

We were whipped from coaching all the way down to each position 1-5. We have to play more versatile than just iso ball because it puts our short point guards in bad situations amongst the trees. We also need better play from Bediako. He doesn’t have to be Mutumbo but he’s not altering anything in the paint. If we had Sanogo as our 5 we’re a totally different team. We need an enforcer down low.
