The players love him. He's a great recruiter. I've never seen or heard of him being involved in the x's and o's. He's honestly never struck me as being the head coach type, but I'm wrong all the time.

Now that 2 coaches have been hired away, curious what Pettway's situation is looking like. I wonder if he's been approached for smaller HC jobs as well.

Hodgson was great. He lifted our recruiting to another level. Great evaluator as well as a salesman.
Opened up Canada and New York areas for us. He proved along with Oats we could go into any area in the US and recruit well. Hence our quick success. He will be greatly missed. Losing two excellent coaches. Hope Oats has a great list of replacements handy.

Would be nice if Saban could attend the games. Just fly over in the University plane with Athletic Dept people. Spring practice will not allow it, I suppose.

I'm not so sure. I think we should spend 5 pages discussing it while forgetting we play in the sweet 16 in 2 days. But that's just me.
Kidding aside, I figured Saban was pissed and didn't really consider the implication of saying that old cliche. It's not like it's the first time Saban accidentally said something while mad that the press jumped on. He's almost always collected in what he says to the press. But even you're pissed off, sometimes you say the wrong thing. Anyone who claims they haven't done that is full of shite.

Steve Masiello would be on my list but he may join Pitino at St.Johns. I wish we make a move for Pat Beilein, dudes a hs coach now. Yannick Hufnagel is another one that may be good. Just spitting names out.
