Crazy prediction.
Alabama rediscovers their 3 point shooting touch and rains 3's down on Florida and Arkansas.
Tennessee falls at South Carolina, then Kentucky goes into Knoxville and beats Tennessee.
Alabama is your SEC Regular Season Champions!!!

I guess you trying to place blame at Davin's feet for Tennessee's run late.
Davin Cosby had to take a forced three to avoid a shot clock violation.
Jarin Stevenson was the issue!
2 missed free throws (couldn't stop the push)
2 bad defensive possessions that sprung a run late. (He allowed Estrada to guard Aidoo) then (He didn't hedge hard enough on Zeigler's kick out three to Mashack)
He had way more bad defensive possessions then Walters or Cosby.
Im going to pile on a little here, but this is kind of what I have seen for about a month. Stevenson probably has a bright upside, he's young and thrown to the wolves.
But im going to be brutally honest, he plays like the SMALLEST 6'11 guy I have ever seen. I just expected him to be a better rebounder and be a bit more help in rim protection and the truth is, he's exceptionally weak in both areas. On offense he has occasional flashes, but for the most part he is a 6'11 catch and shoot 3 point only option. I keep hearing people talk about Stevenson as a possibility to depart for the draft after next year and im just befuddled because in the NBA you have to be ELITE at something. I struggle to see what that something is going to be with Stevenson and that is probably an unfair evaluation with him being a reclass guy.

I do think the inconsistency of his minutes, combined with the inconsistency of refereeing, has made it hard for him on defense. Seems like every time he gets the tiniest bit physical he gets called for a foul. He is quick for his size, and I see flashes constantly of what he could be. But the idea for reclassification from his family was that Oats would have him ready for the NBA in one year so he would be ahead of curve for his class. I don't think you can put that failure on Oats, but they wanted to replicate the success of Clowney. It just didn't happen. Stevenson is a better shooter, but he seems to have much shorter arms, making it much harder for him to defend than it was for Clowney.

I agree and I like Stevenson, I'm generally a sunshine pumper and I think he can turn into a really solid College player. The one thing I would like to see from him is to trust his size and length a little more. He gets himself in decent enough position when under the basket to defend, but he kind of melts down at the last second and doesn't stay vertical. His arms arc and it's an easy bailout call for refs to make. Trust your size your size and length.

Based on how much playing time he's gotten this season combined with the results on the court, I could see a lot of people in his ear this offseason telling him he made a mistake reclassing and coming to Bama. I think it's going to be pretty hard to keep him out of the portal.

You just seem to hate Stevenson. I have said both positive and negative things about Stevenson without prejudice, but I have seen you always speak negatively.
I watched the full game carefully again.

This is a really good point. In fact, he was forced to take a 3-pointer.
The two missed free throws were a mistake, but Tennessee did not run a fast offense after that. A 3-point shot was attempted in the set offense and Griffen was unable to defend.
As chose the wrong defensive position from the beginning. Estrada did not go to the perimeter and defended towards Aidoo from the beginning. In the first place, that scene was a situation where Estrada should have made the switch.
How is Hedge’s defense Stevenson’s fault? He should have defended Josiah James in the front.

I was very negative last summer when Stevenson said he was reclassifying. He was a tremendous prospect, but he didn't have the college basketball ready body or skills at all to warrant his reclassification.

He needs much improved strength to become a better rebounder.
Even if Stevenson is in a good position, he is outmaneuvered by an opposing player at the last moment, making it difficult for him to use his athletic ability to get the rebound.
Pringle has a short wingspan, but he has a great body and can utilize his athleticism because he is not outmatched by his opponents.

In that quote I was more talking about his defense around the rim, but I totally agree with you on the rebounding. Late in that UT game, Tennessee goes to the line to shoot free throws and Stevenson has Mashack on the block next to him. Stevenson's initial position is good as the ball goes up, but then Mashack just blew right around him. Fortunately Mashack mishandled the ball and it got loose and to Stephensons credit he fell on the floor and forced a tie up. But what you are saying has been what I have seen, once the ball is coming off the rim, he often times gets blown up

If your body and strength are not ready, it will be difficult to show your skills not only in defense but also in offense.
He has the ability to score from a variety of positions, but his lack of strength prevents him from scoring off pick-and-rolls and low posts because he lacks strength to overcome opposing defenses. In the end, he has no choice but to focus on perimeter offense, but to be honest, he does not yet have the 3-point shooting ability of a shooter.
The reason I opposed his reclassification is because he is a Big man, not a Guard.
This is because Big men in college basketball or pros can develop their skills later, but their bodies and strength must be ready.

The only thing he can say is good about this season is this.
He has improved his perimeter defense a lot this season.
I said at the beginning of this season that since Stevenson was not ready strength and physically, he found interior defense difficult and should rather play wing defense.
In fact, he spends most of his time defending the perimeter.

At the beginning of the season, I said I wanted Mo.D to play when defense was needed and Walters to play when offense was needed. Mo.D was valuable as a role player because his body and strength were ready, and Walters had shooting skills.
Cosby has better ball handling than Walters, but I think Walters is a better shooter and I don't think Walters is worse than Cosby defensively.

Would be a brutal draw.

Same region as UConn?! That’s some Bolshevik.

I think today's game will be the most difficult game of the season.

What point would it be to have a 4 seed, if the 5th seed would be essentially at home?

Wrightsell is shooting during early warmups.
That's a good sign.
