I wish they took strength of schedule into play. Aub played a much easier schedule than Bama. They got Vandy, UGA and Mizzou twice while we only got each one once. We also got Florida twice
you aren't wrong but another way to see it is Ala got Fla twice and once at home which helped in this scenario.

I prefer this bracket over us being the #1 seed
No doubt. Easily two or three of the best teams in the country on the other side, which is crazy.
We would more than likely still have a couple of physical rock fights on our hands, though.

Ya'll I've slacked this season on basketball watching. I think I've only watched significant portions of 4 or 5 games? We've lost 4 of them.
I need to watch Bama beat up on some shitty teams to break this season's curse.

The No. 14/13 Alabama men's basketball team will face its fourth top-25 opponent Saturday night, travelling to Gainesville, Fla., to take on No. RV/25 Florida Tuesday at 6 p.m. CT. The contest will mark the second meeting in two weeks between the Crimson Tide and Gators, with UA taking a narrow 98-93 overtime victory on Feb. 24 in Coleman Coliseum.
The Tide (20-9, 12-4 SEC) enters the contest in second place in the conference standings, two games ahead of the Gators (20-9, 10-6). With a win Saturday, Alabama would not only secure the season sweep but would also earn its 13th SEC win, marking the first time since 1986-87 that a UA team has earned back-to-back 13-league wins.
The Broadcast
Tuesday's game is set for a 6 p.m. CT tipoff and will be aired on ESPN with Tom Hart (play-by-play), Jimmy Dykes (analyst) and Marty Smith (sideline) on the call.
The radio broadcast can be heard on the Crimson Tide Sports Network with Chris Stewart (play-by-play) and Bryan Passink (analyst) on the call, while Tom Stipe (engineer) is turning the dials. The pregame show will begin one hour prior to tipoff.

Just wondering..
If we beat Florida and Arkansas, tenn lose to SC and SC wins out..
We all will be tied for 4 losses..
So wouldn't we all share the SEC title since we have the headed to head over SC, SC has the head to head over tenn and tenn has the head to head over us?

We would all be champs.
It would just impact SEC tourney seeding.

Everyone would legally get to hang a banner. SEC would recognize all as SEC champions

The lineup that should've played more Saturday was...
Sears
Estrada
Cosby
Nelson
Pringle
They had no answer for this lineup.
Sprinkle in Griffen, Walters, and Dioubate.
Dang, we missed a GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY.
Another thing...Grant Nelson has to start taking these cats off the dribble...all Tennessee bigs!

I'm thinking this is why Grant Nelson will return next year. He's 22, so they aren't just looking at potential anymore. He's shown he's better then expected defensively. But I'm not sure he's shown enough offensively against strong defensive teams. He might get an unsigned free agent deal. But he'd probably get more with NIL.

If he goes pro...he's gotten some bad advice from multiple people.
He's needs to get stronger and work on his offensive skills and defensive skills.
He's not READY but that's okay. He will get a good package I'm sure.

To be honest, it wasn't a big deal for the rotation at the time.
We were leading by 6 points in the second half. With 8 minutes and 57 seconds left, Cosby was brought in. In consecutive possessions, Cosby committed one foul and attempted one 3-point shot, but failed. Tennessee scored 11 straight points in the process and we were down by three.
Pringle played long enough. He might have played more minutes if he hadn't been in foul trouble. The same goes for Nelson. Foul trouble was also a problem for him.
Sears and Estrada played long enough.
There were unavoidable circumstances and reasons for the lineup and rotation at the time, and it can be said that the best method was used.
The reason for the defeat is really simple.
Because in clutch time the other team made difficult shots and we missed most of our jump shots.

Florida is a 1.5 point favorite.
They are 7-1 at home in the SEC.
Loss only to Kentucky the conference opener.
But, has not really played a stellar home lineup.
Auburn is the best team they've beaten at home.
Also beat
LSU, Mississippi State, Missouri, Vanderbilt, Arkansas, Georgia whom are 6 of the bottom 8 in the conference.

I'm thinking this is why Grant Nelson will return next year.
It's possible he could stay in college for another year, but it's highly unlikely that a fifth-year player will be selected in the draft, so if he's undrafted anyway, he might prefer to go pro sooner. If he plays his best, he could be looking for a two-way contract or something. In particular, Nelson's play style is very popular overseas, so if he does not get an NBA contract, there is a possibility that he will target the overseas market.
I hope that no matter what choice Nelson makes, there will be good results.

One of the worst parts about these last couple losses and another potential loss tomorrow…it all but kills the dream of playing the first 2 rounds in Memphis. I’d already taken off work and was planning on going just for us to screw it up

I guess you trying to place blame at Davin's feet for Tennessee's run late.
Davin Cosby had to take a forced three to avoid a shot clock violation.
Jarin Stevenson was the issue!
2 missed free throws (couldn't stop the push)
2 bad defensive possessions that sprung a run late. (He allowed Estrada to guard Aidoo) then (He didn't hedge hard enough on Zeigler's kick out three to Mashack)
He had way more bad defensive possessions then Walters or Cosby.

Really need this one tonight. I’d love to get a top four seed and probably in danger of slipping to a 5 if we drop this one

For sure! We got to stop the bleeding tonight some kind a way.
This will be another huge test!
